‘Morning everyone! I’m on the second-to-last day of annual leave that I took after my last big project to try and get a start on downsizing and organizing in preparation for The Big Move, hence my not keeping up with filling in spreadsheet and reporting. Luckily the meter keeps it all in memory or I’d be lost!

Chispa’s been helping with the project by hanging out in the same room so that her soft fur will be handy when I silently freak out from wondering what the heck I was thinking with trying to make such a move after thirty years in the same city. I love it here! All my friends are here! It’s COLD in Maine for nine months out of the year, and they have mud season instead of spring!!!:arghh: But my parents are there, and they are getting to the point where they could use some help, and this is what I always intended to do if/when that happened, so what can I do but keep packing and embrace the adventure? Also, it feels really good to get rid of a bunch of stuff that I don’t need.

You are a wonderful daughter Karen! When you go through stuff you don't need you say to yourself why did I save this lol. I never knew it was cold for 9 months out of the year, get some thermal underware lol and some nice new winter coats.
I'm sure you will make a lot of new friends because you are such a sweet heart!

Move is hard - I moved around a lot when I was younger but once you settled in, it's even hard for me to imagine what it will be like to move. It will be nice to get rid of all kinds of things that are occupying the house with no reason.... why do we accumulate so many dumb things?

I'm sure that there will be a lot of fun and wonderful things waiting for you up there as well. Eat all lobsters you can! At least the summer may be more enjoyable there? And you know that all of us here will be cheering for you and Chispa, always :kiss::kiss::kiss:

Thanks so much, Diane. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: I will definitely be stocking up on long underwear, down jackets, and flannel sheets! Moving sometime between June 17 and 30, not so much time to accomplish everything on the list ... :nailbiting:

Marie Kondo would be pointing out how much of my stuff is not "sparking joy." I opened a box that's been in my storage room since I moved in 2007 and thought, Where did this stuff even come from?? I didn't recognize half of it. The donation box is filling up.
Summer in Maine is The Best. You're all invited to come up and dig for clams on the beach with Chispa and me! :bighug::cat::bighug:
