Yesterday's condo

Happy Friday LL!! Hope the board will play nicely today!

China's back to the lagoon (as I figured she would be) and doing her famous "Ride the line" act...staying right close to 50!

Have to go with DM to a lawyer this afternoon to find out if the Trust that was done in 2012 took into account the Trust that was done in 2009, but that's not until after +8 (I think), so by then, I figured she'll be surfing (or bouncing)

It's a magnificent day out today too! Much better than yesterday's storms and rain...and it smells so "Springy" too!

Hope you're all having some of this nice spring weather and that your kitties are all feeling great!

Nice greens for China today. I hope she surfs safely while you're out.

Thanks for stopping by Carla!

I sure hope my life settles down at some point. I miss having time to say hello in more condo's! I read a LOT of them, but with DM keeping me busy, I just never seem to have enough time anymore.

Then we never made it to the lawyer this afternoon...Long story but my son had set it up and DM had asked me to come along. I'd told her that he was going to be mad and when he showed up and started complaining, she'd need to tell him that it was her request. (and it was! I did NOT ask to come along)

Of course he shows up, she gets up and asks me if I'll be there when she gets back. I'm like "HUH???"....and said "you need to make up your mind on things" (which was of course the wrong thing to say and I know it) so he went off demanding to know what I was talking about (I told him she'd asked me to come) and it escalated from there. Anyway, he ended up screaming at me for about 10 minutes and then storming off....leaving her sobbing all afternoon and me to pick up the pieces. I'm very tempted to file a restraining order against him. He knows better than to throw a fit in front of her in her home. He's always screaming at me, but he should know better than to do it in front of her.

China on the other hand was a perfect little princess and looks like she surfed the rest of the day!

What a good kitty!

Oh, Chris, I was so happy to see China's numbers today, but I'm so sorry about your afternoon. I wish there was a way we could just snap our fingers and make people see reason and act reasonably. It's hard enough to get through the day without our family members adding to our burdens. I'm sending lots of thoughts and prayers out for you and your DM. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Thanks Shelly

I really probably shouldn't unload about it in here, but I was so mad when I got home that I felt like I was going to explode.

Hopefully things will calm down soon, but I also know my son...no matter what, he feels like I'm "out to get him" and today it spilled over to her and it shouldn't have happened. I'm with you...I wish I could snap my fingers and "fix him". Everybody but him can see that he's got big problems with paranoia as well as control issues, but of course, he's perfect (in his own mind) and can't see it. He's my son..I love him and don't know how he can ever be happy thinking the world is out to get him. It's just sad.

I'm really pleased with China's numbers too. She couldn't look too much better...unless of course she'd start earning (and holding) her reductions! But that's ok...if she's never OTJ, I'm very happy with "tightly controlled"....at least I know she's not damaging anything inside her and she's as healthy as she can be...although still a little too "fluffy"

China, you are such a good girl to give your mama such pretty numbers so she doesn't have to worry about you. cat_pet_icon

Chris, I'm sorry you're dealing with such turmoil, and sorrier still to hear that it's upsetting your DM. I'm sure that makes you even more angry. There's nothing I can say to help, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say it's perfectly okay for you to vent here. The way I look at it, this board is to provide support and guidance to people with diabetic cats. I think that "support" means the whole person, not just the part that deals with the cat. You can't be a good caregiver if you are overly stressed about other things. So let it all out. We won't judge or criticize. We'll just be here for you.

Chris, if you need to vent here, then vent. We're here to support China and you. I'm sorry things were so stressful for you and your mom. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
