Good Morning LL

Checkers ate Paw Lickin'Chicken, after I dusted it with ground up kibble.
Yeah, I know....but sometimes I have to make concessions to get him to eat. Nourishment in his tummy is top priority.
He's slow today, and sitting only halfway down, to eat. He got his bupe, so he should sleep for a while and wake hungry.
Sounds like a 60's hippie. :lol:

Waddya mean, how do I know?...... I watch TV. :roll:

Oh poor Checkers though! Sending him healing vines for his back and hope the Bupe kicks in soon.
Whatever it takes to get him to eat is good. I haven't tried chopping up the Paw Lickins into mush yet.

Checkers, I hope that the Bupe will kick in soon. Party time tonight!

What's on the agenda today, Barb? We had some flurries this morning, but the forecast for tonight is pretty good. I hope the kitties will be dancing by the light of the Full Fish Moon.

Checkers has been HI all day.
I forgot to mention this morning, that the shot didn't feel right, like too near the skin, but I didn't smell insulin, so thought it okay.
The little kibble dust that I sprinkled on his food, could't possibly account for a high surf all day.
He ate lc a couple of times, and ate a little chicken I cooked for him.

He doesn't feel well, just laying around all day, mostly in his cube.
I don't think he's in pain.

His breath smells bad lately, and now I have to convince Dr Dave that he needs a good oral exam. He hesitates to put Checks under anesthesia, because of his spine issue. It is bad to have him sprawled out; I don't remember exactly what it does.
But he can't have dental issues either.

I'm not dealing well, IBS kicks in from stress.

Can I shoot early? Like half hour? I'm so anxious to get insulin in him!

I'm not sure he got any this morning. :sad:

I shot 20 minutes early.

hi barb. i'm walking out the door... can't stay online, but saw your question.
if i were in your shoes, i'd shoot early. as long as you're prepared to monitor if necessary tonight... given the circumstances, i'd shoot any time after +10.

I wish I had a pair of 'bravery' pants. I'm running out of tears. I have no idea what's going on.
He doesn't act like he's in pain, but I can't be sure, so since he's allowed bupe, every six hours, I will give, just in case.

I'm sorry, I can't talk anymore.

I know what you mean about not being able to tell when they are in pain. My only indicator is I get bitten or clawed for petting...and I just started recognizing that as a sign.

I hope the early shot helps. It happens to me , I don't smell insulin, but can tell from the BG rise that the shot was off. fortunately once they get some insulin in them they come right back down. I hope by now that is the case. I wish our two could trade a few BGs today! :roll: ;-)

Come on Checks, i gots the ropes tied to the bus! we can tow you along to Camp Stu! There's lots of kitties there to help pull you down! -- Tess

Oh Barb. Sending you lots of :YMHUG: as you deal w/ your stress. The HIs can definitely account for his lethargy. Lets hope the bupe does its job.

I'm so scared! I don't understand! He's alert. He ate an hour ago. He got into tub and wanted a faucet drink.
I'm trying to be calm, but I'm losing it.
I've used 3 different meters...it won't come down.

eta: he's acting now, like his mouth is bothering him. I see a call to vet clinic in the morning.
 
In my wildest dreams, I never thought I'd see a 600, but that's what the Relion said, when the Presto said HI, an hour ago.
I hope to get some sleep now.
 
Hi Barb - I'm so sorry. And so understand the anguish involved with these numbers... I am so glad to see that he's coming back down, I would suspect that this mornings shot was off ,and up he went. It's a good drop from the +3, so things are righting themselves. It will be better in the morning.
