I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again! :woot: I just can't imagine not being on the go. :) It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: o_O:joyful: It was the same this past week. It has been a good week. The Other grandparents are n vacation, so I had the boys Monday thru Friday. They will be gone for three weeks, so it will be a tad bit on the busy side for a few more weeks. The word BUSY does not adequately describe the intensity level :woot: But... it was FUN! :):joyful: Life is indeed good.

It has been a week in the pool! :woot::joyful::) It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered. :):joyful::cool: Nicholas's swim classes continue, and he is doing well with them. He has discovered tat they actually are fun. We have yet to tell him "I told you so". ;) He did miss Wednesday class as he had a dentist appt, but what was nice was that his mom brought him up anyways so he could still swim. That was awesome, as William got an extra day in too. I really do love these family swim days, they are such fun for the boys, and their mom really loved the time spent. With the other DGP's gone I have extra get Nicholas to school duty, but with that comes the opportunity to get William more time in the pool than normal as he goes when Nicholas is in school. He too just loves it, never tries of it, so off we go. Our Swim days this week were Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. WHOA.... that is alot of pool time. Crazy, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to be able to take them. GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM!

We still do the Friday Night Burger Feast. Nicholas just loves that whole experience, so no way will be not continue the tradition. This Friday the boys had a sleep over, as mom and dad were at a baseball game, and it seemed more logical, since the game ran late, to have them spend the night. That meant a joint swim adventure. I picked more mellow pool that doesn't have all the regular play options as our FR night pool, so I could adequately handle both energizer fishies. Anyways... we did the Burger feast as normal, William was so happy to be able to be part of it. We ate outdoors, as the weather was too good not too. There is a really nice playground equipment set up by this pool, and with the weather being as good as it was we were able to wrap up the night with some outdoor play too. WHAT FUN!

The week was insanely busy.... five days of adventure after adventure. We Were at the Meadowdale Play Park, Juanita Beach, The Mesika Trail with mom, the Imagine Childrens Museum, and the Pacific Science Center. I am elated to have such great indoor options when the weather is questionable. We also spent some time on Monday, after Nicholas's swim time with my MIL Connie. That is always a highlight for the boys. I knew we would not be able to skip the Play park after visiting with their Grammie Connie, it is almost a given that we will go, as it is so close. I could write and write and write on all these places we go, but today I will let the photos speak for them selves. I am grateful that I am able to offer them such diversity in the things we do. Never ever a dull moment. LOL,no wonder I am tired come Saturday.... well DUH! It had indeed been a great week!

Nicholas and William: Good buddies!

For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one. ;) I also made a few treks to the old favorite: Meadowdale today, and Picnic Point last Saturday. I have moved my hike day to Sunday, while the other DGP's are on vacation. Weekend hiking can be trying, as the trails are alwyas so busy, but... figured it was my opportunity, so off we went. I went to Eastern Washington to an area called Beezley Hills Preserve. The areas has such an outstanding display of wildflowers, and this trip was no disappointment: one of the few places one can see white lupine. They also have alot of hedgehog cactus. I was so luck to find them in bloom, Gorgeous! The day was rapped up with a hike at Ancient lakes, from a different approach than one I usually do. This route tackled the area from the top of the waterfalls, an awesome view point! I enjoyed it, spent alot of time exploring the area from the top. would up the day with a stop at an overlook for the Columbia River. It is a great scenic stopping place, and I try to stop there on most trips and catch a glimpse of the Mighty Colombia. The drive to Eastern Washington was great too,a bit long at three hours, but view song the way were great. All in all, an excellent hiking day!

Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat::cat::cat: The kitties are doing well. There really isn't much new to write about. Elsa is still holding her own, Bug is still being my cute affectionate Mannie look alike. Lola is still... well, Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. With the arrival of spring weather she has been in the "LET ME OUT!" mode.:eek::eek::eek: Three escapes last week! Five the week before! :arghh:  :stop: And an other today. She is getting ood: darts out that door faster than a speeding bullet. :arghh::eek::nailbiting:o_O Crazy cat. So.... we are back to thinking about how we can feasibly build something that will let her get out but still confine her to the yard. If only she would stay in her yard..... NOPE! Hooray for kitty treats, which she can resist. :) Other than that, Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! Maybe that is normal. Crazy cat. :cat:

Have a great Caturday everyone. Time for me to go relax some.... :)

KITTIES!! Remember: BLUE, think GREEN :cat:

Hi Michelle! As usual, just reading your condo exhausts me:p. I love the pics! I need a nice new camera apparently, or some picture taking talent, cause mine never look that good:oops:. I'm glad you are enjoying all the busy. It sounds like you need to build a giant chicken wire coop around your property including a ceiling to keep Lola in:rolleyes:. I hope your weekend continues to be great:)

Hi Michelle,
What a week for you! The swim class is going swimmingly, I see! Nicholas looks like he is loving every minute. This is great! I'll bet William can't wait to be old enough to take swimming lessons!

Your trip to eastern WN looked so interesting. What a difference in landscape! Your wildflower pics are beautiful, and the Ancient Lakes are amazing. Those rock structures look like walled medieval keeps. The high waterfall was spectacular. This week, on Thursday, some of us are hiking to the highest waterfall in the Adirondacks: OK Slip Falls. There is a new trail that has recently opened up (the land was purchased by the state and added to the forest preserve). We had planned to do the hike late last fall and again on snowshoes this winter, but the weather was always awful. So hopefully it will be a go on Thursday.

I hope you have good weather for your hike today. Yes, you will have to find a solution for Lola to get outside and stay on the property. Sounds like a construction project!

Enjoy the week. Elsa, the Ethiopian espresso was delicious this Sunday morning. Thank you, Kitteh Barista!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

It sounds like you all had a great week, even if it was super busy. I'm glad Nicholas is enjoying his swim class. I'm glad the kitties are all doing well. I think Lola will always want to get out and keep trying.

Happy Sunday night LL! I have spent the day hiking in Eastern Washington, at Cowiche Canyon. Yahoo! It was great to be out and get the mind set adn the jets fueled for a busy week wit the boys, starting tomrrow. Sunny and warm and 65 at Cowiche Canyon!

@rhiannon and shadow hi Rhiannon! :):coffee: The underwater shots are a 50/50 deal, ALot of the time it's just the camera, sometime it is me too! It's easier to get some semi decent shots if it is just the camera, surprisingly I can see what I am trying to shoot better. ;)

@Rachel & Chyna (GA) hi Rachel! :):coffee: This has been an insane week! So so busy, and I wonder why by saturdays are laid back - I get up and go went up and left with the close of FR night,. HAHA. but it is fun, and I really do enjoy all that crazy busy. Ah THX on the pics... and I bet yours are just fine. I voe my Panasonic Lumix, it makes anything I take look some what decent. OMG and YES on Lola!!! Whatever we do with have to have a ceiling, as I know he'd just climb up ad over the walls. One wild and crazy girl. it is never ever a dull moment here. :joyful::cool:

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) hi Ella! :):coffee: THX! Swim lessons are going really well. I knew he'd love it once he tried, and he did. I think William will be the same too. THC too on the pics. E Wa is so different that what we have at home, so diverse, and dry and HOT in the summer... so I hike it in the spring, when 70's are the max. VERY COOL on your hike coming up this week. I so hope you can make it this time. I love exploring new trails. Fun sutff! And yes, made it today too: more eastern Washington: Cowiche Canyon near Yakima. Sunny skies, and mid 60;s when I went home,. I had a blast! I could not agree more on Lola  - it will be, for sure,a construction project... :joyful:

@carfurby Hi Carla :):coffee: The week was great. I really enjoyed all we did, despite the busy! :) Ne too on Nicholas! he's learning, and having fun too. Yupp: agreed on Lola... she will!

Hi Michelle, glad I caught the Caturday condo! Nicholas has a victorious look in his eye during that video, so glad he seems to love the swimming lessons! What a funny coincidence!!! When you went up to Beezley Hills you would have likely passed nearby my In-Law's wheat farm/home in Quincy; FIL used to farm 1000 acres neaby. Sadly, DH and I had to clean up and sell their home 2 years ago. Fabulous pictures as always, yes, the wildflowers are wonderful, you can also occasionally find horned toads up there as well! Love the Ancient Lakes pics as well!! It's nice to see the Vantage pics too--Last August I had to go to home to Spokane for my nephew's wedding- Wanapum Dam was being repaired so the river level was very low- it looked horrible! We take the Columbia River for granted but we shouldn't, it's that water that keeps Washington green. Sounds like you had a fun weekend!

@Tiger and Ruth Morning Ruth :coffee::coffee::coffee: Sorry I missed your post yesterday... Me too on Nicholas and his swim lessons. So far he really is having fun with it, and looks forward to class every week. YaHOO! Oh how funny on what was your FIL place in Quincy. I bet i did pass right by it. I have seen those horned toads there, bot this year, but in the past. Always so fun to see them. I love hiking Ancient Lakes, it was fun this time to approach it from the top, might have to go back again and hike in the "normal" way. I remember that too on the Columbia being so low last August! It was so odd to see such below normal water levels, and am glad things are back to normal this year. THX on all, the week, and weekend, was great. I hope all is well with Tiger.
