Hello!

AMPS 258

Cold is definitely getting better. I'm still taking cough syrup but it's definitely getting better. I posed it on the previous thread, but yeah Cain left me a "present" this morning underneath my computer desk. Boy am I glad it's plain concrete for flooring there. Cleaned it up the best I could. He's done this once before, but usually when he goes outside the litter box, it's right outside the litter box.

And he dipped into blues this morning. I thought my meter was wrong. But the PM +10 was similar reading. I'm freehanding the lancelet at the moment, after some resistance to the device after I screwed up on the AM+10 test. And he's letting me test fairly fast that way at least.

I'll check at +2. How often should I check today besides the +2?

depends on what you see at the +2....
if there is a significant drop, that can indicate an active cycle where you want to test more often.
If it's about the same number(or higher) as amps.... I'd probably wait until a +5. Just my opinion....

He could also be bouncing from the blues.... time will tell if every time he gets a blue bg , he sproings upward.

But the good news there is he did go down to a blue....and the more time he spends in blues and greens , the better......!

but look at your own ss.... He started in the red at last night's shot and made it to the blue....
He could do it again...

I think I would set an alarm in there somewhere to try to catch a test or two....

I have to get up early for a chiropractor appointment so I'll get a test in then. It's around +6 so it works out.

And he just threw up everything he ate at the PMPS time. Almost an hour later. After cleaning it all up, which reminds me I need to get febreeze tomorrow or something, I managed to get him to eat some more. About 1/4 can. Hopefully this doesn't mess it up much.

Dropping fast again. I hope him throwing up all his food earlier doesn't affect it too much.

I'll get a +6 or so.

Oh shoot! I totally forgot to ask this, but when I was pulling from the lantus pen tonight, it dropped off the table. Is the pen going to be bad now?

Wow, what a drop! I hope Cain surfed safely throughout the night. I think your pen should be okay; keep a close eye on it for floaties and/ or cloudiness--either of those would mean it went bad.

How's home testing going?

I'll keep an eye on it. Home testing is starting to get faster I think. I've been freehanding it with the lancelet since I gave him that big bruise on his ear and I've been able to keep it fast enough that he doesn't try to escape much.

For a few months I had been poking straight down, then I read where someone posted that (on the ear, not paw pad) they poke at a 45 degree angle....so that's how I started doing it ever since and it does do a better job for me;
not sure if you knew that, but I thought it is worth mentioning :-D
