Two doses into this round of ABs and Trix does seem to be feeling better. She is moving much more normally and we haven't had any further out-of-box pees since Saturday. She does still seem a bit tentative going up the stairs, but I think that is getting better (guessing from her behavior, it seemed like climbing the stairs may contribute to bladder pain, if that's what's going on....they really need to learn how to talk). And, the snuffles do seem to be dissipating, too. And....BGs seem to be coming down again.
I can say happy appy (she actually squawked at me both last night and this morning for taking too long with food prep), snuggly, spunky, and feisty....I want to say anti-jinxes, too, but lately my anti-jinxes don't seem to be working at all.
I should be hearing from her regular vet today to talk about what to do next. Obviously Trix has a chronic situation - she backslides every time she goes off ABs. So...what do we do...pulse ABs? Try a different one? I don't know. It's crazy.
I "slept" on the couch last night, too - again just dozing on and off for a few hours. Not good at all, but I don't know how else to deal with these situations....I feel like I have to keep close tabs when things are off and I'd never be able to actually sleep anyway if I was in the bedroom. Hopefully tonight I can feel comfortable sleeping in my bed. In the meantime, I'm going to attempt to be somewhat productive for now, until I crash.
Prayers to all.....
Amy
ETA: Thank you, @DebG , for the info on d-mannose. I'd heard about it before but forgot. I will look into for Trix.
