Morning LL! Moonie is doing so well
last night: 4/23 pmps 152

Today she is spunky & quite happy lying in the sun on our thick carpet! Moonie is just being funny sweet Moonie!`

Copper is feeling much better and has so far eaten deli turkey and some beef I was making beef stew with--He glommed it down-he is relaxed not straining for a single breath..Thank you Lord!
He is pretty skinny about 8.7lbs where he was 10.1 lbs a couple of weeks ago..
We are doing the best we can dealing with this and are trying to be positive--Tomorrow we will find out what type of cancer he has & Tuesday DH is taking off we are bringing him to the oncologist..
We do not want to put him through anything that will affect his QOL, as we love him so very much.
We have had 15 beautiful yrs (birthday May 5) with these 2 & have been so Blessed--Hoping for a little more time, as it's never enough.
Please pray for him as somehow LL prayers have a magic all their own--
Sorry I am not my usual happy joking self, I need some time to accept all this..
We love you all so much, you are our lifeline-sharing our tears & our happiness.
I miss being me already...Hugs from us.

Nice start for Moonie, nice WCR for Copper. Hang in there LL magic is working hard. POSITIVE, that is what you need to try and concentrate on. I know that is hard but he will sense your upset. Have a good day, prayers, white light, snowflakes all enroute.

Roni, we are sending those prayers in abundance for dear Copper to keep enjoying a good QOL. We know that you will do everything you can for him. It is good to read that he is acting his normal self this morning. Wishing you a beautiful Easter Sunday with your furbabies and your wonderful DH. Moonie, you are looking good today.

Roni, so glad to hear that Copper is getting back to his normal behavior, even as the goings on in his little body aren't so normal. Thoughts and prayers continuing your way for a solution that will give you more time and a good QOL for sweet Copper. I'm always so appreciative of the daily hugs coming from your condo, so sending them back in abundance as you process everything!! ((hug))

Good Morning Roni. Nice start to Monnie's day. Lying in a warm sunbeam sounds good to me :smile:
I'm thinking of you and sending prayers for you and Copper, Brad and Moonie. It will be a while before this all sinks in, and you begin to smile and laugh again.
We'll be here, with you, in the meantime.

Guess Moonie is trying to distract me!!--Fed her 3 tsp. HC elegant medleys & 4 temptations--Will recheck shortly!
He is just sleeping now--Anyone know the correct one?
Saw 5 different respiration rates for cat breathing--One says 20-40 breaths per min.
Other articles say less--I cant just stand around him & keep counting all day!
Just counted 24 breaths a minute while sleeping-Think that is good!

Hi Roni,
Don't know about the respiration rates but wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and Copper and sending vines and prayers. I, too, have always enjoyed your visits and hugs to Maggies condo, so now draw on all of us for hugs and support.

When Maverick was recovering from his abdominal surgeries and extremely sick I was told anything above 40 while resting was an automatic trip to the ER. I think even with 30s I'd be calling the vet for advice. For cats open mouth breathing is also a sign of difficulty. Check the gums to make sure they are not pale or blue, same with the tongue.

Monitor the RRR so you get an idea for how they are now.

I wouldn't do the 15 second times four as its not as accurate. I count my dogs RRR often - and write it down. DOn't think you'll remember it all. I use an online countdown timer and count for the full 60 seconds. My dog Nike is usually sleeping at my side and I always have my laptop with me.

Enjoy every day you have with Copper and Moonie. Every day is a gift. No amount of time is long enough, but you have been given a gift of more time. (((((((((Roni, Copper))))))))) Continuing to keep you close to my heart.

Roni, I'm happy to hear that Moonie is bringing you a bit of joy today with such great numbers and that Copper is resting comfortably and eating.
I'm glad he's able to be at home where he belongs, with family that love him so much as you do. Tommy and I are sending Prayers and much, much healing vines for just a little miracle for you and your Copper. Please lean on all of us as much as you need. :YMHUG:

Moonie is having a great day--She has been great all day & quite energetic--
Copper just ate steak & chicken and ate well!! He's weaker than usual but is talking a bit & seems calm & peaceful-
We are having our last peaceful day before we talk to & see vets again-

What a great day for Moonie - it is so wonderful to see her posting greens again. YAY!!

I wish that there was something I could say or do that would alleviate all the anxiety and worry over Copper. I know you know we are all here for you whenever you need us. I will think positive for all of this, and hope the the oncologist visit on Tuesday will be a good one. Do know that you all are in out thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

(((Roni))) Glad you had a restful day with Copper and Moonie (and her exciting numbers!) It is good that he ate for you and is resting comfortably. If you find out the type of cancer tomorrow, you might have time to look it up and do some research preliminarily so you will have an idea of questions for the oncologist on Tuesday, right?
I am sure if you post the people here will share what they know with you....as always. We are all feeling your pain and sadness now Roni sweetie....we all love you and your two so much. It is so great that DH will be off on tuesday....know he loves that boy too....

Hi Roni, We are thinking good thoughts for tomorrow's and Tuesday's vet visits. So glad to hear that you had a good day today with Copper eating and enjoying his food, and Moonie having such good numbers. Sending lots of love and hugs.

She never drops low at night, another mystery!--They were lying again Moonie on the wicker chair, Copper below on the furry mat I put down there for him long ago--He never used it much, but is now--
I am so dreading tomorrow & bad news...I feel like hiding, not answering the phone, not wanting this night to end.. But so it must--
I'll say my prayers tonite, & ask for what will be best for him..

Roni, I'm so sorry I didn't find out about Copper until tonight. It is devastating news. I will say a special prayer for him tonight, Roni, and you will be in my thoughts tomorrow as you go to the vet, etc. I'm very sorry.
