Good Morning LL,

Sorry to be MIA yesterday, i spent the day with some friends. Leo was in full on bounce mode anyway and snoozed the day away.

Leo woke me up nice and early at 4:30 with some headbutts and purring, then at 5:00 he filled the whole place with his LB aroma......the smell could have taken down a small elephant......... Gross. Then he came in and tromped all over my head, what a cat. Otherwise we had a good test, shoot and feed with a nice sunny yellow to start the day off. I hope he's broken his bounce.

This afternoon we have an appointment for a blood draw for the acro test. Dr. Andrea emailed me to confirm the apt and to tell me that yes we can test for IAA as well but she doesn't think we are dealing with either. The blood will be going to Michigan State University and she also said not to expect results anytime soon, which is what i expected. Leo will not be happy to hear we are heading to the vetty.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Great that you got out and took some time for yourself. Leo was probably happy about the poke break anyway.

Oh so nice with the lb aroma. He must have been proud and came to let you know, in case your sniffer was broken. Good vetty vines coming your way from Oklahoma for today. I hope Leo does well and you get some answers.

Have a great day Tracy!

Re: 4/24 Leo AMPS 250

 'Morning Tracy. Don't you just love it, when kitty leaves the LB, and comes to your bed?

Sending lots of good vetty vines for today.
I sure hope Leo behaves better at vet, than Checks does.

Re: 4/24 Leo AMPS 250

Tracy, let me get this scenario straight....so he works the lb and then walks all over your head!
Good luck on the Vetty visit and tests.

Re: 4/24 Leo AMPS 250, +4 250, +6 230, +10 344

We are back from the vetty and apparently Leo was a bit stressed out according to his +10. So i opted out of the IAA testing, to get the IAA tested it would have cost me another $250 and i'm sorry but i'm not willing to pay that much money for something i am sure Leo does not have. So all in all for both tests to get done would have cost me $450.

We didn't end up seeing Dr. Andrea, she was in surgery so Leo saw a vet tech who said he was a very well behaved kitty.

Re: 4/24 Leo AMPS 250, +4 250, +6 230, +10 344

Tracy, glad to hear Leo got a "well-behaved" kitty report. I would have done the same thing as you, doing only the one test. Simon does the the same thing as Leo...using the LB and then walking all over the bed. Gross finding litter in your bed!

Re: 4/24 Leo AMPS 250, +4 250, +6 230, +10 344

I usually get a litter foot, tush,or paw    Dontcha love it?
Moonie rarely knows it's even on her ohmygod_smile confused_cat
Hope The IAA test is negative & Leo is fine..Such a well behaved cat!! You must be proud!
Hope the bounce clears by tonite--can last 72 hrs--Sending Hugs & Love from us!! Have a good evening!

Re: 4/24 Leo PMPS 382

Hi Tracy - I hope the test results come back in Leo's favor. Good luck! Sounds like he was such a good boy. Well done Leo!

LOVE the LB story... and then into bed? that would be Mannie - he never can leave the LB without the litter stuck on his paws. fun, isn't it!

Enjoy the rest of your night Tracy. I hope your day was a good one.

Re: 4/24 Leo PMPS 382

Paws crossed for a negative result from the test. If he doesn't fir the profile no sense getting the other test done.

Fortunately, i can't hear Tess in the LB when I'm in the bedroom!  We have the Breeze litter box. No litter to track and very little smell. I love it!

Re: 4/24 Leo PMPS 382

I've tried looking for that Breeze system, but for the life of me i could not find it at any of the pet stores, maybe its a not sold in Canada thing  I was freaked out that Leo might have had some "cling-ons" so i jumped outta bed and had to wipe his bum before he tromped on my head any longer......thankfully he had already cleaned himself up and had no litter on his paws on cling-ons on his tooschie!

We talking litter??? I don't know about the Breeze, but I did have great luck with the pine litters!
Oliver pees like a race horse, big lakes, and I had some issues with Shadoe as well.... even though both are short hair, I had to watch for the clumps between the pads, but with the pine, none of that and even better it lasts forever and a day and there is no smell!
I had no trouble finding in Toronto and have seen here in Winnipeg as well.

I got WBCL world's best cat litter which was good, but got the one for single cats as it was better for my 4 cats than the multi cat variety?
I tried Feline Pine but much preferred Feline Fresh and the cats loved it.... when you can beat all the dust from clay ones, and have no tracking issues in addition to no odor and clean paws, well, you can't go wrong.

I found my cats had issues with lumpy pellets, and with Ollie being a very large boy, I had to go with a litter box that measured 2ft wide and about 4ft long, so any systems like Breeze would never had done for my 33lb boy.

If you have not tried pine, give it a try with just one bag; I am sure you will love it.
