Yesterday

I smelled Lantus on Harvey's fur this morning, very strongly, so I figured he got a furshot. Then I saw the +4 and wasn't so sure it was a complete miss. Then I saw the +6.5. o_O BUT He went up yesterday morning, too, and we know he got his full dose then, so I guess he's just being a cat. :rolleyes:

I don't know if it's been too long to call this a failed reduction, but I'm starting to think we should go back to that 1.5 that we didn't spend much time at last week - it's quite possible the depot from the 1.75 was still in play and caused that 34. Not liking the way his numbers are trending. Bowling is over until May 16 (except for our weekend in Reno May 6-8), so no worries about not being home tomorrow night. Unless he does something spectacular tonight, I think we'll go back up in the morning.

Harvey's appy was so-so this morning, so I gave him some Cypro and Cerenia. An hour later he was CPC and asking for more. And more. Welcome back, Hoover! Make yourself comfy and stay awhile, please!

Very, very windy today - gale force wind warning in effect. Guess I won't be cleaning out the greenhouse today - darn! ;)

Great to hear that Harvey Hoover is back, but darn on the possible FS!!

I agree with you on the dose too.....looks like it's time to go back up!!

No bowling?? How are you holding up without your weekly fix of garlic pretzel bites??;)
 
I usually count six cycles after the last green before increasing. If it was a fur shot, that does mess with the count. Harvey, tonight is cycle six - you are on notice!

Out of curiosity, are giving pred in the AM or PM?

@Wendy&Neko in the AM. So do you think I should start the count over with this morning? I'm not sure it was a total furshot, since he did go down at +4.

@Chris & China, it hasn't even been a week yet and I'm already in withdrawal!! I have some pretzels in my freezer and if I get really desperate I may try to make my own.

Hi Tricia, bummer on the fur shot (if that's what it was) and good luck with the increase, if you give it. In place of bowling, maybe you could take up shuffleboard, just to keep in shape:)

Ha ha, @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA)! "Keep in shape"? That would be round! :p:joyful: I don't bowl anymore. Had to give it up after back surgery in 2003, and even if I hadn't, my fingers wouldn't allow it now. I just go to be social while DH bowls. I also do the record keeping during the sweepers. We've belonged to this league for over 20 years now. Longest standing members except for the secretary. DH is president.
 
I know, @MollynSkooter ! It's torture!! I have a hair appt in Sac on Wednesday. Maybe I'll swing by the bowling alley for a fix...

Bleah on that PMPS! Wishing I'd increased tonight. But, if he indeed didn't get his full dose this morning, I guess that isn't that bad.

Hope he has a paddle out into the lagoon later, nothing too extreme though.
 
So close, yet so far. I was asking about pred because it seems his days cycles are a little higher than the nights, and had wondered if that was the pred cycle. I think the increase is up to you. You test enough and Harvey will tell you if he doesn't want that dose.
