All is well in CurryLand.

She had some livingroom time and crate time yesterday. Sid is feeling more confident about having Curry in the livingroom(in the crate, of course). Sid started walking over to the endtable where she like to lay down under the lamp....and got way too close for Curry's liking.....Curry howled and Sid hissed and then walked away. I wasn't quick enough to distract Curry w/the purebites.....Oh well....That's gonna happen a bit over time.

This morning I'm moving Curry's crate to the opposite end of the room. Switch things up just a tad for them.

Happy Easter folks.

Oh gosh...Curry really isn't crazy 'bout Sid at all.

Thank goodness I'm not experiencing howls with my crew. whew...

Sure do hope they can get things worked out.

It sounds like a game of "chicken"!! Dueling wits!
Curry, very nice AMPS.
Tena, enjoy the "game". My bets are on you!!
Have a lovely Easter,

Yeah. The experience Curry had 3 months ago when they both saw a cat outside and her bg's were dropping really made an imprint on her. Kinda a "ptsd" like experience. Priot to that singular event they got along fine.

So my new experiment is going well so far today. Curry doesn't really like being across the room from me, but Sid is just chillin next to me and ignoring Curry. That is good. Now I need to go and sit on the floor next to Curry.

Lovely number for Curry this morning! Fingers and paws crossed that Curry starts warming up to Sid again soon. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Five feet

Fueding feline daily digest.

I went outside for a moment and left the girls alone. Came back and Sid was at the door waiting for me. She was 5 feet from Curry. There wasn't any hissing when I came in.....and if Curry was howling at Sid prior to my return, Sid wouldn't be at the door. Woohooo. We are making progress.

Feuding Feline Digest: What an awesome day. In the afternoon I had a bright idea as I was flossing my teeth. (my Dad would be proud of me...another use for dental floss...he was a dentist) I wanted to help Sid feel comfortable walking past Curry from the bedroom to the living room. It dawned on me to get a really long piece of dental floss and allow Sid to chase it. And boy did she ever do so. She went back and forth that scary place 20 or so times. She got use to it and so did Curry. Its about 7 feet from Curry's crate. Of course, the floss goes into a trash can that that is tall and has a lid after the play session. Definitely do not want to leave that sort of stuff out. A shoestring wouldn't have had the same impact w/Sid. Then Curry watched....her eyes were on me and interestingly enough not on Sid. We got about 5 feet apart during the play w/out any hissing or howling. Then I tempted fate and allowed Curry to come out w/out a harnass. I followed her and she stayed right next to me wanting attention. Sid was on the endtable watching intently. I decided to end that experience before Sid got scared and bolted which would have prompted Curry to go after her. Curry doesn't seem interested in coming into the living room this evening. She's probably needing a break from all that exposure. What a day.
