A little over a month ago I got a call from my vet asking if I would foster a diabetic kitty for 4 months so her family wouldn't have to put her to sleep. When she first arrived she was bunny hopping to walk because of severe neropathy, yesterday she was sitting in the kitchen window above the sink and playing with the kitten.
Her eyes were cloudy now they're bright and shining. Her coat was thin and dull. Now its filling in and becoming lustrous. And she was a nightmare to even handle let alone test. Today she curls up in my lap and purrs to be tested.
And best of all after being diabetic for 2 years and getting up to 7u bid while still eating dry she's been transitioned to canned food and starting her OTJ trial.
