Asia is a cuddle monkey this morning, she really doesn’t like to do much before lunch time and is most active after PMPS. Our radiators are still on in the building despite it being in the 60s today, gross! Even with windows open, the heated air just lingers in here, it’s like a sauna. One of the things I read for cats and arthritis is giving them a heated bed and heat helps. Asia hates being too warm, she is rarely cold, but the heat really bothered her. She has a thick double coat. I expect she will spend a large amount of the day sleeping on the bathroom floor mat as that is her go to cool spot.
Ordered some D mannose (the sugar in cranberries) today for Asia, I read it helps prevent some of the urinary troubles by making the bacteria bind to itself instead of the bladder wall, but is mostly only effective for E. coli. Figured it was worth a shot as she has had 2 UTIs where the culture grew E. coli. It would be nice for this UTI trend to cease. Probably a big ask with CKD and diabetes in the picture, but doing what I can for Miss (formerly known as) Peepee Pants. This cat has so many supplements it’s insane to me. For 20 years all she needed was food to keep her right.
Paws crossed for some BG leveling out as the infection gets its butt kicked by Zeniquin.
