Looks like she might want to bounce on you and give you a breather. Hope so, Amy....you both did great last night. I can so identify with how you feel on those slides; Gracie loves to do it and it's really hard to deal with. You did much better at handling Trixie last night than I did with Gracie. Hope ou get some rest.

Nice job last night, Amy. :-D I read back through the condo, and saw the Marjorie's suggestion about feeding a snack around +10 on a slidage cycle....I just wanted to share what I do with Tinkles. He loves to slide down like that, he does it all the time. If you look at our SS, you will notice that I try to catch a +9, and if he's still sliding then AND he looks like he might be pretty low at PS, I give him a small LC snack then. That way, if he's still sliding at +10, I can give another snack without influencing the PS test. I've found that this works extremely well for us. You do want to be careful about feeding too much, or too high carb food, since the insulin effect is waning....it usually doesn't take much to put on the brakes.

Thanks for the excellent suggestion, Laurie! It's always great to be armed with as much information and as many tools as possible.

Looks like she's giving us a breather for tonight. Phew!

While I love the greens, it is soooo nice to not be stuck in the "poke/feed/poke/feed/poke/feed" infinit loop tonight...

I know what you mean, Amy! Of course, when Willie's higher, I inevitably poke him anyway. "You coming down yet? How about now? Any closer to green? Maybe now?" Yep. My name is Christie, and not only do I hoard meters, but I am a testaholic. :lol: :lol: :lol:

LOL...when Trix was first diagnosed, I couldn't imagine poking her at AMPS, PMPS, and several other randomd times during the day - that sound soooo frequent. Last Thursday, I poked that poor girl 21 times!!! Now, I can't go more than 2 hours (except on the rare occasions that I'm sleeping.). It is nice to have a short little breather....
