Yesterday, started green then played around in blue and yellow. Neko has been a lap fiend lately. :cool: Just as I was thinking of going to bed last night, she came onto my lap and settled in for a good hour. So hard to move her - it was bliss for me. :-D Momma's boy civie was very jealous.

Looks like she's still getting over the bounce from the green surf a couple nights ago. She was in a lapping mood again this morning but this time DH was the one incapacitated. Needless to say, lots of purring too. All's right in Neko's world.

Today is one of those days when best laid plans get put aside. It started with the delivery of two bags full of garden soil. I had ordered it but didn't get the email I was supposed to letting me know it's coming. So I have a wheelbarrow and 2 yards of soil in my future. Then I got a call from DM that DA had fallen in town (they were off island this morning) and on the way to the hospital so I got to try to rally DA's family. Somewhere in there today I have to get to the compounding pharmacy to pick up Neko's bupe. Fortunately it's across the street from the hospital so I'll probably stop in emergency. Neko's being considerate with her numbers.

I hope your DA is okay.

How nice with all the extra lap time from Neko. It is hard to move them.

Hi Wendy,
You never can predict what kind of a day it's going to be. Healing vines to your DA. And I hope that you have everything under control with the Bupe, the garden soil, the wheelbarrow, etc. Neko and Theo are doing their part to keep you and DH happy and relaxed!

Sorry I missed your condo yesterday, but the Board was so slow that I gave up.

Any update on DA? I hope it wasn't too serious - I'm sending lots of prayers that way!

I've finally started getting caught up on the condos I've missed during the past couple of days of board wonkiness. You had mentioned the other night:

Neko is on Levemir and an acrocat, who often have late onsets and nadirs. Lev typical onset is +4, but for Neko it's more like +5.5 and PS is often her nadir. So, the +4 is more like a PS for a "normal" Lantus cat. I'll take a +3 or +4 test to tell me what the rest of the cycle might look like.

I knew Levemir had a later onset/nadir. Did you mean that acrocats, in general, have later onsets, too? If so, that's something I didn't realize. I can't believe how much I continue to learn from all of you every day.

Neko spent most of the afternoon in the solarium. I was late home for the +9 snack. :oops: For some reason, if DH is home, he doesn't get bugged for the +9 snack the same way I do. :lol: I heard the cats come in from the solarium as I got in the front door.

DA is still getting diagnostics, CT scan and X-ray done but results not back before I left. Her face is pretty beat up, her glasses got her on the fall and still bleeding a trickle. They were worried about her wrist but as I left she was holding her coffee fine with that hand. She fell in a Starbucks, before she got her coffee ordered so she was a little short on her ~O) for the day. But her daughter was there and she has another daughter who is a nurse who was on the way so my DM could finally leave to go home. She'll have to feed DA's cats tonight.

@Carla - I love that Neko feels like she wants to put in the lap time. She used to do it a lot more. DA is OK, still waiting for results.

@Ella - Yup, gotta take the day as it comes, sort of like our weather here. Got bupe, time to get out soon and start with the bags of soil. I'm glad to see the board moving a little faster today too.

@Shelly - I think DA looks worse than she is, still waiting results. And yes, acrocats often (but not always) nadir later, and so do cats with IAA, or rather the IAA tends to make them less predictable. I just saw a new Levemir user on Health whose cat seems to have nadirs like Lantus, so very much ECID. I'm hoping for more laps tonight too. If nothing else, the civie will oblige.

Sounds like DA took quite a spill. Sending healing vines for her and have paws crossed for good test results!

Oh no! Sorry to hear about DA! Sending healing vines and no-pain vines to her. Glad she eventually got her coffee. :-D :lol: How very sweet of Neko to stay in a nice range for you to run your errands and check on DA. Don't work too hard out in the yard. :-D Good night, Wendy.

I'm sorry about your DA...is that dear aunt? I'm glad she is doing ok, sending healing vines :-D .

I'm glad you're getting lots of Neko lap love...tell Theo if I could, I would let him sit in my lap to make up some of the loss ;-) I love purring kitties. Hopefully you managed to get all done today and can get some loves again tonight, it was nice of Neko to give you good numbers today! I hope you're evening is going well :YMHUG:

Woohoo! I get to sleep for a few hours before getting up early for rowing. I-)

@Deborah, Mariko, ((Rachel)) - Thanks for all the vines for my aunt. She's 94 and was embarrassed by all the fuss. Neko was good while I was gone, but DH was home so we were OK. No laps tonight, I didn't sit down long enough.

I wish LBG would sit in my lap like BBWG does for you! Lucky mom.
