Morning ~O) Maggie earlier was very lively and playful, jumping onto the bed and waking me up at midnight! I guess she wanted me to play with her in the living room, as she didn't bring the mouse to bed. What Mags doesn't know is that we have Vetty visit today at 8:30 with one of her favorite Vet Techs for a blood pressure check. Three weeks ago her b/p was rather high, so today is a recheck. I'm hoping last time was just Vetty stress. Maggie had two breffifs, play time with her mouse pole toy and now napping on the footstool of the recliner. Can you believe I need to leave the footstool up all the time, as that's one of her napping stopovers when she tires of the others! I just checked Maggie's average on the ATrak, and it is 116, normal range!

Maggie...what a sweetheart you are! I'm not surprised you have to leave the footstool up for Mags...I swear, the bulk of my furniture is arranged to please the kitties around here :lol: !

Good luck with the vetty visit...I hope her BP is normal today!

Thanks Amy on the visit. I bet a lot of us have our furniture arranged around our kitties demands. :lol:

Nice start to the day--Hope the green surf continues!
DH built Moonie a 2 steps thingy so she can get up on our high bed! Then she has her cat bed (1/2 milk crate covered in carpeting & 3( yes 3) cat beds on top of each other!! The beds are worn so she can hop in pretty easy, but we cant take them away, or she flips :lol: :lol: :lol:
Yes they are our babies, we'd do anything for them! Have a good day with Hugs & Love from us!! :mrgreen:

Hi guys .. good luck at the vet's today .. hoping the BP checks out normal .. Oh yes, we all have stories of what we've done in our homes to accommodate our kitties want's and need's don't we? Have a great day guys!

Thanks Melissa, Roni, and Devon for the visit. I guess our kitties all instruct us on the proper way to arrange furniture to accomodate them. :lol:

Mags had a good Vetty appt. but seemed real scared this time, so I didn't know what to expect with her blood pressure recheck. She's 180 today and last time was 190, so no b/p meds needed this time although she's on the high side. The Vet Tech was so sweet. Mags didn't want to come out of the carrier, so we unzipped it on both sides, and Charlotte slipped the monitor under her front leg and took her b/p that way. I think it was more calming that way. Maggie also had a mani pedicure. We return in July for her bloodwork and check-up and another b/p check. I gave Maggie two Whisker Lickin's Salmon treats before I took her to Vetty, and she really smacked her lips. After I returned home and got her settled, I ran out and picked up some Wellness Turkey for her and another errand. When I opened the door, Mags was waiting for me wide eyed; she usually never greets me at the door.

Great news! I bet her BP goes up with the vetty stress. What a great vet tech. Have a wonderful night Ann!

Hi Ann,
Poor Maggie was nervous at the vet's! I don't blame her: I hate to go to the doctor, too! How touching that she was waiting by the door for you when you got home from shopping. She didn't want to be away from you.

We have boxes and paper bags strewn all over the place for Rusty. Every once in a while one of them "goes away".

Enjoy the evening with your sweet kitty. She needs some FF T&G tonight as a goodwill gesture!

Anne & Zener, thanks for the cute pic.

I was relieved her b/p was down a little even though still on the high side. I think the PMPS was also a little Vetty stress plus a couple Whisker Lickin's before the Vet visit as a treat. It was so thoughtful of Maggie's Vet Tech to place the b/p band on her frong leg instead of lifting her out of the carrier.
I think, too, Mags deserves a little FF T&G as a bedtime treat.
 
sorry to be so late in posting.... i don't know where the day went.

YAY!!! on a great vetty report for Maggie. How cine of the vet tech to take her BP the way she did. that had to have been more reassuring for Maggie. I am glad that it was down some. I wonder if it is elevated just due to the stress of going to the vetty. ??? And what nice bean to give her her fav food a a bedtime treat. Love that!

I hope your day has been a good one. And I am glad all is well with Mags.
