Such a great place to be with Kushi. I hope he continues to stay green and you have a bonafide conversion on your hands. Have a great day.

Hi, Joe.. way to go Kushi.. Day 3!!
These are beautiful #s, I don't understand your question? If there is no insulin on board kitty cannot go hypo. Typically on an OTJ Trial you test & if you get a # under a 100 you call it a day & test again that night at PM shot time. I see you are testing at +3, are you giving insulin?

No...NO insulin, was just puzzled at the low number with no insulin.

No worries.. a lot of kitties run low, I test Sadi (Non diabetic) she is generally in the 40s..
Thankfully with no insulin kitty cannot go hypo, if you are worried though, you can feed some MC..

Always something more to learn. I was erroneously under the impression that the low number (under 40) was a warning indicator. ;-)

Thanks Nicole...not worried. That is good information. Thanks again!

Happy Day 3, Joe! Nicole is correct, there's virtually no risk of hypo if you are not giving insulin. There is a disorder that can cause hypo without exogenous insulin, but it is rare.
