Hi Diane, tell Tyler thanks for the good wishes. Ivy sends some purrs back to you and Tyler. ❤️
(We just had a cuddle session where she climbs on me and purrs and kneads.)
We both got some sleep and it was heaven (anything more than 3 hours is bliss).

I guess it’s a trade-off Cecile, Ivy doesn’t follow me around. She just kind stays where she wants to spend her day snoozing.
But certain times of the day (or night) if I lie on the floor with her, she will climb on me and knead and purr, so we have several sessions a day.
She’s very happy to just snooze away on her own, wherever she is.

Ivy had a FANTASTIC AM cycle yesterday! Yay Yay!
She has really been doing so well. You are doing a superb job :):):)
Funny how cats are so different. I have absolutely no privacy at home. There is SOMEONE feline always with me.
Even when I take a shower :rolleyes: Someone occupies a sink. They take turns to come cuddle at night - really cute but really sleep interfering :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
But they make me so happy - get my oxytocin juice flowing. ;)

Good meowning
Ivy had a busy day yesterday and she started off good this AM. We'll be watching and Nestle is waiting, you know where :p:D:p:D
Glad to hear you're getting some more sleep. And so peculiar about Ivy's bowl location. I guess she likes to dine at different places every day she's fancy like that haha.

Neither one of my cats is a lap cat. Nestle is more of a beside you cat these days. He's happy to nap next to you. Peanut is more of a snuggler and sleeps with mama every night.
 
Sleep for the win! Glad to see it and Ivy's nice cycle, too. What a nice reprieve from the last few weeks. :)

Mini Purrl is a lap fungus. It's a preferred place. When Mitt was still with us, I'd often have Mitt, Purrl and Simon (before he got so big) all on my lap at the same time. o_O

Ivy isn't a lap cat either! Just a snuggler when she decides it's time! She always used to sleep on my feet (but hasn't returned to the bed since she broker her leg last year). I miss her on my feet so much! :(

Sounds like Peanut and Nestle have their own ways of loving on their Mama.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh you are one lucky Mama, Janet!! I love cats in my bed (it's been forever since my 2 former cats would sleep on either side of me in bed, how I miss that feeling!!):bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Kit, yea, yesterday was much nicer. Today she's not as active. Thanks so much for your support :)
You are so lucky to have all that cattention where they always want Mama. I just love cats all over me (well, my cat/cats at least).

Lol, she's fancy....I wish she would just stick her face in her bowl and eat at mealtime. Enough with the fancy catered meals. She just likes to make me work harder (really.... is this necessary?);)

So I did something stupid this morning.
I threw brand new Lantus pen in the trash and put the empty pen back in the fridge.
Is the new pen retrieved from the trashcan which sat at room temperature for 12 hours OK to use? Any thoughts?

Yea, (this was a full 12 hours, cringe). Stupid. Just mixed pens up and tossed wrong one all before 6 am. Ugh.

Kit has never been a lap cat. In her 17 years, she has laid by me on the couch maybe 3 times? She used to lay on the bed with me (not snuggling, but within a foot usually), but hasn't since the (apparent) neuropathy. She doesn't really climb on anything at this point. What she wants is someone to sit next to her (but not touching her), and just look at her (most of the time. Sometimes it's sit there and do nothing but also don't look at her). No talking, no looking at something else, just sitting there next to her. Which is fine for a few minutes, but I need some stimulation, silly kitten!
Also - if some solidarity helps - tonight Kit was in the living room on her brown paper (the girl loves her brown paper), and I brought out her +1.5 snack. She took two licks and walked back to the closet, where she then scarfed down the food once I held it in front of her face. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Like. Girl. C'mon.

They sure do make the silly rules, don’t they? They just like for us to constantly be trying to figure them out. (See the rule book Diane posted here earlier)
