Looks like we are recovering from that partial fur shot a few nights ago. Cobb ran high yesterday and lounged around - but he's a cat so that isn't TOO unusual. Interestingly enough, he seems more at ease with Matty since we got back. Was it the 4-hour car trip bonding? Is he in less pain without those teeth so he isn't as ornery? Who knows...

Sandy, I've read through your R advice. Thank you! I do wish there was a formula!! (I'm sure everyone else does too.) We'll figure it out.

So we are back at it today.

Half way through the week!!

Re: 4/23 Cobb AMPS 306(1.5uR) +3.5 265

Hi guys .. hmmm, probably one of those things we'll never really know, but it is nice knowing his little teefers are feeling better! Have a great day guys!

Re: 4/23 Cobb AMPS 306(1.5uR) +3.5 265

I think it's a combo of both. Maybe spending that much time with Matty convinced Cobb that he really isn't that bad, and vice versa. Anyway, just enjoy it!

Cobb, come on down from there. No need to be so high so early in the day.

Back in the yellows tonight. I went up a bit...not all the way but a bit.

I read Sandy's post on the R usage. Good information. Acro and iaa are different, but the thing that is the same is her comment that you get a feel for what works by trying things out. I preferred giving R at any point past punkin's nadir, although i did use it some with his shots as well. i also liked the idea of the L getting him mostly there and the R dealing with unexpected highs.

You're doing fine and it looks like Cobb is getting back on his feet post-dental. I think you might notice more impact on his numbers as he heals, rather than immediately following the surgery. of course, cats are all different, but if there was inflammation present that was driving up his numbers, that inflammation would need to recede before you saw a difference, i would think.

oh your pooooooorrrrrr parents, having to take care of their toddler grandson from out of state! ;-) :-D i'm sure that was a HUGE burden for them!!

Re: 4/23 Cobb AMPS 306(1.5uR) +3.5 265 +6 258 +9 227 PMPS 24

Julie, that is one reason I'm trying to be a bit conservative with the dose and R. I don't want to give too much and fb inflammation recede and then us get in trouble! He was higher than I wanted this morning but he's recovering nicely now.

And yes, it was REAL hard on my parents having to watch after Matty. I really felt their struggle!

i figured!

you're doing well with his dosing. everything gets off when you travel, do anesthesia and have dental work done! it takes a few days to get back to normal.

Almost blue. Looking good Cobb! :-D I take it he had no problems eating after the dental? ;-)

Is Matty asking when you are going to see his grandparents again yet?

Looking good

There is no telling how things will play out for Cobb however time will tell.

It was about 10 days after BKs first dental (and his last dose of clindamycin) before he started movement down the dosing ladder.
He continued down the ladder, gaining momentum and by the time one month had passed it felt like he was tumbling down.
At around 2 months post dental he was in a free fall.

For high dose kitties, it's a long way down.
