Yesterday's Condo

Looks like the Board is doing better (anti-jinx). Sorry for not visiting many condos yesterday, but I just didn't have time to sit here forever while it decided if it was going to take my post or go to a page or not, and I got tired of re-doing condos three times!!! Hopefully, that's all behind us.

I was so pleased to see a blue AMPS this morning, and a little surprised with his +3.5. I just checked him at +4 and he came up some, with just his usual LC second breakfast. I'll keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't make a u-turn and head down again. I guess I'm going to have to start listening to my DH :o  and feed him a little less at mealtime. He wasn't too interested in more food at +4 (although I just peeked around the corner and he was finishing it off - it was just about a tablespoon of LC). If he's going to keep doing these dips, I'll need to make sure he's willng to eat when I want him to! I'm not complaining - I'm pretty pumped at how well he's doing. :-D The OV did say that once the infection was completely out of his system, he might start dropping, but I really didn't expect this. I like it, I like it! :-D :-D :-D

I was planning to take the bandage off his leg today, but the little devil beat me to it! When I brought him his second breakfast, there was the bandage, laying on the floor in front of him - it looked like he managed to just slide it off. I looked at his leg, and there were just two little spots that appeared irritated, probably where the edge of the bandage was and he was working on it. I sprayed some anti-itch stuff on it, and I'll be watching him closely to see if another bandage is needed. I suspect it may be.

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Special appy and tummy vines to Trixie and calming vines to Amy.

So excited to see Jersey and Davison (yes, Liz, I was misspelling it, too, until you pointed it out. ohmygod_smile ) doing so well on their OTJ trials. Looks like we'll be partying soon!

Surf safe, Cinco! I'm on the shore watching you. Maybe I'll join you later.

Hi Tricia, Everything is sounding and looking good here. Yes, we go to the landfill to enjoy the view (really!): it reminds me of the meadow in "The Sound of Music", with the majestic mountains in the background (in this case the High Peaks of the Adirondacks rather than the Alps). Oh yes, we recycle while we're there!

Have a great evening,

Ella & Rusty

Nice greens for Cinco today. I hope you don't need to put another bandage on his leg.

What a nice Cinco report - and what gorgeous numbers!

I was planning to take the bandage off his leg today, but the little devil beat me to it!

Awww, come on, mamabean.... he was just trying to help you out with your chores today! ;-) Paws crossed that he'll leave the spots alone so they can finish healing.

Have a great night, Tricia!

Re: 4/23 Cinco PMPS 148

Thanks for the visits, Ella, Carla and Shelly.

Well, are we in for another PJ party tonight? Cinco's standing on the sofa in the family room hollering at no one in particular. It looks like he's been licking the leg, but it isn't raw, so I'm watching it. I sprayed some more anti-itch stuff on it. He still didn't appreciate that. But he isn't licking it now.

Sasha has been very congested today. Sneezing a little, but not like she did a couple weeks ago. She does not like Allerplex, and I haven't figured out how to get it in her. I got some Benadryl in a capsule, but it's 50mg and from what I've been able to learn online, the right dose for her is around 10 mg. I thought, no problem, I'll open the capsule and divide the contents into five. Sounds easy. Not. First, the capsules are itty-bitty, like a #5. Secondly, they are sealed so you have to destroy them to get to the contents, which then goes all over! I tried mixing a little in some food this morning. Apparently she could taste that tiny amount, as she took one bite and walked away (I know it wasn't the food, as she'd already eaten some that was unaltered). I put some in some chicken baby food, which they all love. One bite and she ran away! I somehow got approximately the right amount into a capsule and tried a pill pocket. No sale. I put butter on it and tried to get it into her mouth. After a five minute wrestling match, it went down, but the capsule was starting to disolve and she must have tasted it, because a few minutes later she was foaming at the mouth! Poor thing. She hid for the next several hours. HOWEVER, she sounds better! So it helps, but how the heck do I get the stuff into her??? Argh!!!!

Re: 4/23 Cinco PMPS 148

Cinco is looking fantastic today! Good job!! Sending anti-itch/anti-lick vines for the leg! :-D Hope you have a wonderful evening, Tricia!

Re: 4/23 Cinco PMPS 148

I'm glad that the board seems to be doing better, I couldn't even read condos to see how everyone was! Nice PMPS for Cinco tonight :-D . Sorry about the hard time giving the meds to Sasha...I have no suggestions, unfortunately. At one point when trying to pill when Chyna refused to cooperate I put a pile of powder in the middle of a pill pocket and rolled it around the powder in desperation but that is probably tasteable too! I hope you can work it out...unless there is something to mix it in that would void the taste...paws crossed on someone suggesting a good solution for you guys. I hope you have a nice night without any dives, just slides :-D

Hi Rachel. Yes, the Board has been just awful the last couple of days, but it seems to be fixed now (anti-jinx)

Thanks, Deborah. I'm pretty happy about his numbers lately. Thanks for the vines. I did end up putting a bandage on his leg again. He just can't leave it alone. :YMSIGH:

Poor Sasha. I can't remember if I've asked before if you have tried Zyrtec? Some of my cats get to sneezing from the pollen in the spring and 1/4 of a tablet of Zyrtec every day for a couple of days helps them a lot. I asked my vet about it and she said that it was okay to give to them.

Hi Tricia,
Great news on Cinco - hope this is the end of bandages for him! No advice on getting meds into Sasha, but sending vines that you can figure some way, especially since it seems to help her.

ETA - Aww, I just reread all the posts, and I see the bandage is back  Sending vines that it is not back for long~
