Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 OTJ Trial Day 3

Testing again in a few hours, I feel like I cannot breathe - I also know that is a little dramatic to say, but that is how I feel. Aborting Trial if upward trend continues.

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 OTJ Trial Day 3

Awww Nicole don't worry you are still in normal range!!! I know it is scary, I would be too! Hopefully she will bring herself down!!! Hugs!!!!

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 OTJ Trial Day 3

Its still a completely normal range number even if it is blue. I completely know how you feel right now and you will be elated when she brings herself back down.

Come on Baby, show your momma your stuff!

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 OTJ Trial Day 3

Nicole -- I nearly fainted during Kitty's first three days, but remember, Baby's body is still adjusting to having no external insulin put in.

If you're up, feed and test in 3-4 hours. Then you can see how Baby is doing bringing the number down. And keep plugging. It's only day 3!! :YMHUG:

if we see an upwards trend, we will definitely recommend the trial be aborted. however, this is only one number... and it's in the normal range at that!
it's not unusual for newly otj kitties to bobble up and down a bit (throwing higher numbers than 116) before they settle down.
all is well here...

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 OTJ Trial Day 3

Hi Nicole
Both you and baby are doing very very well.
I think I finally decided that the OTJ trial was the most nerve wracking 2 weeks ever.
It does not compare to the ups and downs with the dosing before.
Max threw me a 125 on Tuesday night. I thought I would hit the floor.
Then with his dinner and a few hours later, he gave me a 53.
They are cats.
Hang in there, okay?

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 +2 100 ***Question***

(((As always.. thank you for replying to me being upset))) I am not going to obsessively test her tonight..
If I get a Blue in the AM, do I have permission to shoot a drop? I do not want to wear her pancreas out, when I have the supplies here to help her. I want her OTJ, but am in no hurry if it sets her up for failure.

Re: 4/23 Baby PMBG 116 +2 100 ***Question***

no shooting yet. We're watching, trust me. She has already come down in just 2 hours, Lucy took 4 hours to bring herself down at first. Baby is doing fine.

Baby went to 42 the other night on no insulin. You really don't have room to shoot, unless the upward trend continues. Sit on your hands.

WOWW!!!! Trial Day #3!!! How did I miss this???

Congrats on today! Wow! talk about hair-raising! Good to see you make it though. Get all those curveballs out of your system, Baby! Time to play a straight toss  Great work today, Nicole. :YMHUG:

OOOHH BABY BABY!! DAY 3    YOU ARE DOING GREAT BUT THE TENSION nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile --DONT SWEAT IT! KEEP THE FAITH & YOU WILL SUCCEED--HUGS!!!

(((((Nicole))))))

Know it's hard to see, but those really are normal numbers. ohmygod_smile You're just used to 30's and 40's
She's doing GREAT! It will be good seeing what Ms. P is able to do on her own in a few hours. That's what it's all about.

Happy Day 3 .... B dancing_cat A dancing_cat B dancing_cat Y dancing_cat !!!

Keep Chewing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicole-

Go have a stiff drink, go to the gym for a few hours, do something to get your mind off Baby! She's doing fine. This is what happens during the trial. These two weeks are very difficult for the beans. Just keep it together Sister! The peeps here will let you know if you need to give insulin. Look at my SS and you'll feel much better. Some of Boomer's numbers were awful because of his puking.

PS - I didn't test him at all today. SOOOOO weird!
