Hi,
Maggie was raring to go this morning! If she could only lose some weight with her running from room to room at 2 am! :(
I need to shop for her Sophisticat today and check out the Pet Safe 5 Feeder.
She almost had a green day yesterday:

Morning Ann! SO happy to see that +3 last night! GREAT job!! Did you give HC & LC at PM time? I noticed that on your SS and was just wondering. If so, then that explains the +3 number.
IMHO, it looks as if Maggie really wants to go into the greens. If you shoot the .50u dose and she goes low, then would be good to give HC to get her out of the <50 numbers. Are you familiar with doing that whole thing? She would earn a decrease if she goes below 50.
She is doing very well!!

Hi Pat,
I did give HC and LC after the PM shot, as she just picked around the food. It was just a smidgeon of some chunks of HC, but it must have hiked the BG, right! She eats most of the LC if I add some HC!!!

I hope you will be able to get some checks today....to see when she will go to green! A lot of kitties go much lower during the PM cycle and that might be a problem for you, eight? She really looks as if she will go green so keep an eye on her today and check maybe +4 and +6 if you can...is that doable?
Won't she eat the plain LC? Have you ever tried the freeze dried chicken? I buy a bag at Petsmart and shave it over their food.
They LOVE it! It's in the dog treat section...for dogs...one ingredient=chicken.

Don't let Maggie see the picture of the drooler on the front though.. :lol: That would be better to shave on top of her food instead of the HC in my humble opinion...happy shopping!

Yes, it would be better for her! I will try it. I have the freeze dried salmon, but she knows how to get to the salmon and leave the lc. confused_cat

Oh Yes, I'd better cover up the doggie, he, he!

HI Ann and Maggie! Let me know how the Sophisticat works out (we are thinking of switching eventually when all the old label FF runs out!) and which feeder are you looking at? I want to get one but wasn't too sure which one to get? Would love to know what you end up getting! Nice to see Maggie getting some greens!!!! Good that you are able to do more testing, I am sure that will help!! have a great Friday!!!

Hi Michelle,
I didn't buy the feeder today, but the one people seem to like is the Pet Safe 5 Compartment sold at PetsMart. There were also some other recommendations on another thread. The guy at PetsMart said he has sold these feeders and not had a return, as in some of the other brands have been returned. Maggie seems to like the Sophisticat canned better than the FF lately! I buy the turkey & giblets, beef & liver, salmon and tender beef. I just take part of Janet & Binky's list with me to the pet store and shop for the LC's. Sophisticat is a little cheaper than FF.

Yeah I am thinking of getting that one or the 2 meal one, I just checked amazon.com in case you buy one since they are about $10 cheaper on them and they deliver and I think shipping is free!! Let me know what you get!!!

Oh thanks for that tip on Amazon for ordering. I started getting my Alpha Trak strips thru them, and it works out great. I didn't see the two meal feeder.

I buy the halo chicken treats from amazon too, they are way cheaper than at the store, about half price. The cats loooovvvveee them! Yeah Petsafe makes the 2 meal feeder and 5 meal feeder, haven't decided which one yet, but am leaning towards the 5 meal since it would be easier if we went on vaca or something!

That is what I was thinking with the 5 step feeder is when I vacation and have a sitter come in twice a day that in between I will have the feeder, as Mags is a grazer.
