Hi friends. :)
We are exhausted but Monty seems to be doing good. He’s napping like he usually do around this time a day. It’s crazy hot in our living room and I have no idea how Molly and him can stand that heat! They apparently love it and are both melted on the floor in the sun and heat. :)
He is still not eating only wet food even though he loves Weruva so he’s getting some Ziwipeek on top to make sure he’s eating enough.
But we have bought feeders for him and Molly and a weight as well so we can weigh their food and weigh them as well. Yesterday his weight was 4.25 kg. So now we can make sure he’s not loosing weight and eating enough.
He’s still in love with the stupid high carb dry food from Royal Canin but he’s on such a little amount mixed in his Ziwipeek that it’s a big improvement. There’s only around 15% of RC mixed with 85% Ziwipeek.
I am incredibly grateful to all of your help and support and to think that I have always listened to my vets and always told people how important it is with a good quality food like Royal Canin! My As@!!! I feel like the worst mom! I have literally been feeding Monty such a high carb food from Royal Canin called Renal to support his kidneys that it is probably ME that has been giving him diabetes! It is insane! I will do anything for my children and then I’m doing such a horrible thing like feeding them a high carb food!
I am writing a post on Monty and Molly’s social media within the next weeks where I tell people the importance in feeding natural and low carb and how to help a cat that like Monty, loves the dry kibble. I am not going to trash any food company but I am going to highlight some of the food the Monty and Molly likes as examples.
I’m I allowed to link to the food sheets from this site in my posts? Like the food sheet from people in Europe, UK and people in US and Canada?

Nice to see Monty get back to green. I hope he keeps surfing safely for you. Don't be hard on yourself for feeding what the vet suggested. All we can do is the best we can with the knowledge we have at that particular time. That's what you thought was best.
