I'm taking Susie up to 2.75 tomorrow morning.

Interesting that Susie's +8 yesterday was higher than the +10 and PMPS. It also happened on 4/17. Does anyone understand why? Would that be the depot kicking in?

Susie will go for her second convenia shot on Saturday then I'll wait a week and get a mini chem to see if her white blood cell count has come down.

Have a safe and happy day!

Not sure what happened with Susie's nadir today. It was 246 (second test was higher). I think I gave her a fur shot and didn't realize it. I hope that is what happened today.

Vetty vines! I hope it helps the white count. How does she seem to be feeling?
She seems okay just really unmotivated and wants to sleep most of the time. She usually comes out of my bedroom more in the early morning and in the evening. Of course, those are the times when she is the hungriest and looking for me to feed her. The really high nadir probably didn't help.

Funny, as I just posted this she came into the Florida Room. She is rarely out and about at this time of the day (12:30).

So far Susie is looking pretty flat to me today. She still has time to surprise you with a later nadir this cycle too:cat:

Nadirs can and do move around, but I'm not sure why or I can't remember. Butters is mostly a late nadir cat, but she will nadir anywhere between +3 and +12.

The 214 and 201 yesterday are pretty much the same number. That looks flat to me. Today is a flat yellow day. A lot of the time that can mean action in the next cycle. Meaning she could come down tonight.

That is quite the range for nadirs. Must drive you nutty. Will get another test at +8 and see what is happening.

Oh, yuk. I don't want to hear that. I hate the low nights and tomorrow is supposed to be an increase. I'm not sure what I will do if she goes low tonight. I might put off the increase for a day.

Can you folks who use calipers just confirm for me that when I do increase to 2.75 then it will be 3.43 mm? Her conversion number is 1.25. I just want to make sure I am understanding this.

By "conversion number", do you mean that 1u = 1.25mm for your syringes? Ok I just calculated based on this. I get: 3.4375mm. So you could do 3.43mm or round up to 3.44mm.

Yes, 1 u = 1.25 mm. Thanks for confirming this for me. When I was a little girl I got a score of 3 on a math test out of 100. I was horrified and my brother teased me relentlessly about this. He still does. I think that really did a number on my confidence in math my entire life. Still love my brother, though. He is the best.

You were so right, Lyla. I just got a 189 @10.25. I wonder what that means is in store for me tonight. Any insight?

That is a kind of disappointing flat yellow day with barely a dip into the blue. It's a marathon... and definitely NOT a linear function where we give x amount of insulin and get a reduction of x amount in blood glucose. I hope Susie has a peaceful night. I wish that Susie and Darcy would get around more. At least Susie is coming out for food. Darcy is not moving much now. Since he is having trouble with his back feet, he walks little. He knows I will carry him too (especially up and down stairs.. which I don't make him do much anymore.. and think this is very recent... it makes me so sad to think that in some ways he is really going downhill.) I was just reading about a cat on the forum, Toeby, who was racing around the house today and watching birds... I wish my cat would do that. And Toeby is 5.5 years older than my cat. So sad for me and Darcy. I was happy to read this about Toeby though!

I'm convinced Susie just needs more insulin. I hope she will get to a good dose soon. I don't think she's far off (I hope.)
I wish Susie and Darcy could get around more too. I'm so sorry to hear that Darcy is not moving much. Maybe Toeby is younger than Darcy. Maybe Toeby doesn't have the same issues as Darcy. You cannot compare the two. I am going to send you a private message.
