Georgia and Simon (GA)

It has been almost 4 days since Simon's ER visit and getting the diagnosis of another one of his pancreatitis episodes. Simon is now eating most of his food on his own with some encouragement and petting from me. He has been getting 2x/day fluids, bupe, cerenia and his normal Pepcid and ondansetron. He is acting more like the old Simon, although he still wants to hang around upstairs and does not like coming downstairs as much. I think he still feels pretty crummy but I am praying the worst is over.

DH and I are scheduled to go out of town on Friday for his birthday for a 2 day weekend trip. We will only be about 1 1/2 hours away in case there is a problem, but if Simon isn't feeling lots better, we may need to cancel. I have our pet sitter staying overnight on Friday and Saturday but I am still worried. We hardly ever go anywhere anymore so we were looking forward to the trip. Hopefully, it is all going to work out.

Thanks again for all your support!

I missed the ER visit. I'm so sorry Simon is having issues. That darn pancreatitis causes so much turmoil. Great that he is eating most of his food on his own already. I know it has taken T almost a week to bounce back that much after his p episodes.

I hope you are able to get away. Healing vines for Simon and huge hugs for you Georgia!

I will hoe you get to take your trip. I can so understand about the not getting away. paws crossed for you.
