Earth Day Greetings, L&LL!
48 years ago Edward and I took part in the first Earth Day Celebration in Union Square (NY City). It was exhilarating and changed our lives. We have been environmental activists ever since. Now we are facing probably the biggest challenge--our own government. We'll be marching on Climate Day next Saturday at a local march in Potsdam. Come march with us wherever you are. We don't have to go to Washington to be heard!
Rusty and Edward had a good day together. It rained all day (a cold, penetrating rain), but our little group had a good hike up The Pinnacle (near St. Regis Falls, @Linda and Bear Man !!). At the summit we read environmental poetry, looked at some great photographs, and had lunch in the rain. Part of the hike was along a woods road and there were lots of beer cans and other garbage on the sides of the road, so we picked it up and collected 5 or 6 garbage bags of junk.
Dinner time for Rusty. Going downstairs to hold his bowl. I don't think he likes his choice tonight: Merrick's pure Bistro paté. He used to like it and I thought I'd try it again on him.
Wishing everyone a fine weekend. bbl,
