Yesterday's Wild Ride
Whew! Cinco sure put me through the wringer yesterday. He's never been that difficult to bring up before, nor does he usually get too full. We seem to be dealing with a whole different cat since his surgery. I'll have to get used to it, but I think I like it!
Doesn't look like we're having a bounce or NDW (anti-jinx). I half expected either or both. Paws crossed it stays this way.
Today is a little calmer, but he's dipping his toe in the lagoon, which is preferable to doing a half-gainer into the deep end like yesterday!
I tested him at +5 instead of the usual +6 because that's when it all started yesterday. I will test him again at +6.5 or +7, to make sure he didn't wade further in.
We are still doing trial and error with fuds. Like Amy, I'm frustrated with finding a variety that are both FD and CKD friendly. It seems there is always one cat that doesn't like a new flavor - usually Harvey, and since he's the reason we're having to move away from FF/Friskies, that's a problem. Lately Minka has decided she's going to be picky, too. :YMSIGH:  Thank goodness for Cinco, who apparently still remembers what it's like to be a starving stray! Althooooo, he has been less than enthusiastic about his first breakfast recently, eating only a few bites, which makes me wonder if the lower numbers he's having are attributable to that? He scarfs his second breakfast down with no problem. The first is FF, since only he gets fed at that time. Maybe he's tired of FF? My DH says it's because I feed him too much, and he's not hungry. But I rarely give him more than a bite after midnight (unless he's low), so I can't imagine he's still full six hours later. Perhaps he just doesn't like those icky early morning hours, like his mamabean!
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Especially Max and Trixie, who are stressing their beans today.
More cheers for Jersey and Davison as their OTJ trials draw closer to conclusion. :RAHCAT :RAHCAT
