I just wanted to toss some info out there. We’ve been fast tracking him and, on a very few occasions, we’ve seen the fast tracking result in numbers dropping a little fast for a cycle. It is a good idea, at some point, to let him stay at a dose for six cycles so the depot can “catch up” but it would be best to perhaps wait until we are at least seeing some pink numbers to do that.
As you might have read about acromegaly, the tumor on the pituitary can wax and wane. That means if it becomes “underactive” then numbers might come down a little quickly.
With IAA, it’s a self limiting condition after about a year. We don’t know yet if he has it and, if he does, how long he would have had it. Which means if he is diagnosed with it, we have no idea when it could “break”. But when it does, it’s usually quite a ride.
Scroll through Black Kitty’s SS. His does got up to 13.5u bid and Sandy was also using R. You can see when his IAA started breaking, his dose started dropping fast. He was the first cat on the board that was expected with IAA and so the treatment was basically “seat of the pants” and Sandy was along for the ride.
Just be aware that things can change.
Time for an increase to 8.5u in the morning. Good luck with the new dose.
