Does anyone have any thoughts as to why Georgie's numbers have stayed in the red the past few days? I think maybe the new pen I have been using may have something to do with it. It says it expires on 8/2014. My old pen expires in 2016. I saved about 60 units as a back up for my old pen and have started using that one again as an experiment. I work all day and will see if the cat sitter can get a few good readings in. Come on Georgie!!!!

I'm thinking bounce or dose a smidge too high or New Dose Wonkiness.

A newly opened pen may be slightly more potent. It could possibly drop the glucose a tad faster and/or drop more than usual triggering compensatory hormones to release glycogen which converts to glucose.

And any time there is the equivalent of a 'new dose', even if its just a slight **** in potency, you can get erratic values until things settle a bit.

I was going to say what BJ already said about new dose wonkiness. I get several bounces off a new pen because I think it is a little more potent at first. So Georgie may be going lower than usual and bouncing off of it.
