Yesterday

Hi L&LL,
I spent the day in the Lake Placid Public Library, waiting for my car to be finished (needed new brakes; big job). Got caught in the rain a few times while walking to and fro, but it wasn't bad. The weather is cold for this time of year. Rusty was a fine cat while I was out. He and Edward had a good day together, but didn't spend much time outdoors: too cold and very windy (Rusty doesn't like wind blowing his fur). His appetite was OK.

Going downstairs now to hold the dinner bowl. bbl,

Tomorrow is Earth Day (the 48th Earth Day; we were in Union Square Park in NYC for the first Earth Day Celebration. It changed our lives). Tomorrow a group of us is going on a short climb to acknowledge our debt to Mother Earth. Each person will bring a picture, a poem, story, etc. to celebrate the Earth; we will have a reading/showing at the summit of "The Pinnacle".

Wishing you all a meaningful Earth Day. I wish it had some meaning for our "leaders".
