Another atypical sunny day, cats are snoozing in the solarium. Around here the usual saying is "March winds and April showers bring May flowers". May is going to have to go some to top the blossoms currently on show. Late yesterday afternoon Neko went outside with me for a bit. I guess the lure of spring was too much. She doesn't like to stay out for long any more but can't resist getting her toes on the grass and sniffing the bushes.

I'm off to the island to visit my parents. I do my DF's taxes. Ugh!

I was going to say have fun, but don't think filing tax returns comes under that heading! But nice to see your parents anyway. Nice safe numbers for Neko while you are away.

As for the girl. Ahhhhhhhhh. Grass in her toesies. Some green on several fronts today. Great.

DH was in charge today and got a lovely green at snack time. The report was that kitties spent most of the time taking in the sun. Neko's hanging around Nanner Central now.

@ Suki, Peg, Carla, Linda, Ella, Marilyn - Looks like Neko had a fairly flat day while I was gone. Taxes are done and dusted, due end of April in Canada. This time I used some free on line software - makes things so much easier and faster. I even had time to go down the garden and get a bunch of kale and rhubarb. While in the garden, the fellow running the Young Farmers group (elementary age kids) was there getting things set up for Wednesday's Earth Day activity. What a fun job! The ferry ride was beautiful. Nothing like a sunny day, shiny seas, trees popping out in new leaves on the hill sides, snow on the tops of the mountains in the background. It's only a 20 minute ride, but a beauty.

Yep sounds like a perfect day for the ferry- and a near perfect day for Neko as well! Isn't it nice to have that fresh rhubarb and kale- I found some of my strawberries are starting to berry already!

Yay to having the tax duty behind you. What a good daughter you are. Your rewards were a lovely day for the ferry ride, fresh greens and nice numbers for Neko. How could it be better?

The ferry ride to the Island sounds wonderful. I love going for ferry rides. They are so relaxing. We sometimes catch the ferry from Manly across the harbour to the city and have lunch or a coffee at one of the Harbourside cafes/ restaurants. Sounds like Neko had a good day as well
