Not bad, considering.

Let me tell ya what happened yesterday....... we all know I slept thru the clock in the AM and he got his shot late. Well, last night, about 8, I decided to get a nap, which I hadn't gotten yesterday. I set the clock and took a nap. During which I was woke up by a really bad thunderstorm and no power/no alarm clock. It was 12:20AM, 2 hrs past shot time and pitch black. Guessing the power went out long before the storm woke me. I said 'tohellwithit' , not about to try to adjust his time by over 4 hrs, so he didn't get a shot last night. I decided to start fresh this morning.

Hence my opening on the post - Not Bad, considering.

On top of this, it looks like my converter box for the tv may have gotten the brunt of it, it's not working, may have been fried by storm. Thank goodness the Roku box is still working. Heck of a way to start the day.

But Lucian's under 500 without a shot, so it could certainly be worse.

Morning Debbie. Sounds like a heck of a day yesterday! I hate those kinds of days.

Here's to a better day today and better numbers for Lucian!!!

What a miserable evening for you......Nothing wrong with starting fresh....don't beat yourself up over it and as you said - its really not that bad a morning consdering all that went on beforehand. Good luck with the converter box.......and today WILL be a better day for sure.....

Looks like he's having to rebuild his shed, staying very flat.

Converter box is toast and can't afford to buy another one. Oh well.

When you say converter box what do you mean - do you mean something to do with your cable - or those boxes that let you get over the air channels on an older TV?

Its the box that converts an analog tv (older) to digital so it can receive over the air digital signal from the tv stations.
Neither of my tv's are digital and I had to cut my cable, can't afford it. Had 1 converter box I used in my bedroom and got a Roku box to kinda take the place of the cable, since the cable gets more and more expensive and rarely anything worth watching, so it's not worth the cost IMO. Biggest issue is no news. My only news is online and I don't like that. Online doesn't break in with a tornado warning, ya know? I think I'll check craigslist and see if anybody is selling one.

OK - message me your address. I am 99% sure that I can get my hands on at least one of them - I'll know for sure tomorrow. My dad had them on his old TVs - he's since gotten the new kind where the tuner is built in....and he never tossed anything - even before he became wheelchair bound and couldn't get to his upstairs anyhow....

I'll run over there tomorrow and grab whatever he has (I think there may be two)....and let you know - they aren't worth anything to him - and not to be cruel, but in my eyes they are just more stuff to unload when/if he has to leave his house.....so I'd be happy to send them down to you.

No you won't send me money - its my pleasure to get it out of the house....I'll let you know tomrrow afternoon if I was successful..and message me your address - our post office does 24 hour self serve so I should be able to get it out right away.
