Good Morning LL!
(YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Easter!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. oh yeah! Easter!! No wonder all those pies look like Easter eggs. so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET!, and perfect for a spring day. OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!
I hope everyone had a great Caturday. Mine was good, kinda mellow, but kinda busy too. I did get the shopping done, laundry done, and some cleaning. WOOT! productive! The rest of the day was spent in prep work for my son Matt's Birthday BBQ. Hard to believe that he is 27 years old. Where does the time go! I had a helper too for all that slicing and dicing and mixing and stirring. Three guesses as to who, and the first two don't count. Lola thought all that activity in the kitchen deserved some of her attention. She is very good at batting things off the counter and onto the floor. Then it was a game of hockey. Bug was interested until he found out they where mini oranges and blueberries and a few raspberries. Both of them balked at the onion dicing.  Got the prep work done in time, and even had a few moments to myself before the gang showed up. We had a great time - Birthday boys dinner request: BBQ burgers, dogs, and sausages, corn on the cob, an assortment of salads, deviled eggs, and a Boston Cream Pie for desert. YUMMMMMMMMMM! It was a late night for all of us, but sure was fun. It is always nice to have the family together.

The kitties were GOOD kitties yesterday, even Lola. Well, sorta on Lola.... Lola will always be Lola. She was one wound up crazy cat yesterday. The runs are always a constant thing here, but wow on yesterday. She flew through the house, careening around corners, sliding on the kitchen floor, flew over furniture, stopping at times to pound on any available glass surface. We had alot of paper bag annihilation too, after I got back from the store. Maybe she's excited to know one of those bags has Kitty fuds in it! Bug and Elsa were visibly thinking: I SO DO NOT KNOW HER!, just like every Caturday.... She was a good girl though after shopping, and made sure she played in the paper bag like she should. Well sorta good, if one kinda ignores the helping with the food prep stuff. and the helping with the cleaning. and the helping with the present wrapping. That was funny. I get them wrapped and stacked an out for the kid. When I went back there a few minutes later she had already ripped and chewed that pretty paper on the packages.    I give up. I just put a note on the boxes: "dutifully inspected and approved by Lola". Have a great day everyone! We are having an Easter brunch here this morning, for the family. My middle son has volunteered to cook, his specialty: Eggs Benedict. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! AND (!!!) I don't have to cook! Even better!
If there is time later, and the weather has improved i may head on out for an out and about for sure, but I think it will be local.
