Hello LL friends,
Shadow and I are approaching her 13th birthday on April 27. She has her vet visit next Friday for blood draw/urinalysis. Hoping her urine specific gravity is in the normal
range. 6 months ago is was right on the margins.
Shadow has been in mighty huntress mode since we had a mouse in the house a week ago. It's that time of year where they try to come in as the weather gets warmer.
She didn't get to catch it, my dh did instead with a trap. But she sure enjoyed stalking it behind furniture.
She has been good in numbers still and pretty normal except for appetite.... I think she's really tired of her food choices and that's just going to get worse if we have to
go to lower phosphorus.
DGM is still slowly recovering.... She gets around on her walker and does her therapy. We go out to eat often which seems to get her to eat better than at home.
She is impatient with her progress but it's only been 2 months since the stroke. She is doing remarkably well all things considered.
And DD is still distant. We went to Albuquerque and had dinner with them last night. Easter Pizza. ;-)
She calls about once a week and will text me some.
I'm still deeply depressed from her actions and the circumstances but it is much better than it was 3 months ago when she left.
The most interesting thing is watching her with her new life ..... wait until she realizes how much she is like me....

I have just been working on a genealogy project and have lots of record searching to do so I'm not posting much.
Working on a family member that was born in Whitehall, New York and we just can't figure out who his parents are.
I can't afford a trip otherwise I would go there in person.
Prayers for all who are struggling.
