Yesterday's Shark Hunt

Flat blue cat today. Fine with me 'cause I had to leave for a dentist appointment at +6.75 and didn't get back until t/f/s tonight.

I gave him some Bupe last night just after midnight, because he looked uncomfortable and wasn't eating, in spite of the Ondansetron and Cypro. A little more than 30 minutes later he was eating again and looked much better.

Harvey ate his first and second breakfasts this morning fine, but the appy petered out again after that and he was meatloafing, so I gave him another .1ml of Bupe and left him plenty of food. It was all gone when I got home and he looked better. He ate all his dinner in two stages tonight, so I just refilled his plate. We'll see if he needs more Bupe tonight. I picked some more up at UCD on my way home from Sac. I may have to give it a couple of times a day for a while, but that's fine - whatever keeps him comfy and eating!

I have a roast in the dinner and taters on the stove. The timer's going off, so bbl.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug:

Vines for the little man.

The roast sounds sooooo good!!!! I so wish food wasn't making me sick... Ugh.

Flat blue works, especially when you're gone most of the day!!

Considering how low he went yesterday, he sure didn't bounce much either, so that's good news too!

Hopefully the little doses of bupe will keep him comfortable and keep him eating. We like our Harvey to Hoover!!

You would have to cook roast...I've been craving roast beef for about a month, but when you're only cooking for one, it's really not worth the clean-up! May have to head over to DM's and cook one there and invite one or two of the other residents for dinner sometime!

Surf safely tonight Harvey!!

Thanks for stopping by, Suzi, Chris and Elise. Harvey is now working on his third helping. :)

@Chris & China, I don't make a roast very often, because it's so darned fattening, especially when you add in the gravy and mashed potatoes. We get a fairly small one (2.5 lbs) and the next day I cook the leftovers in gravy and serve with noodles. Again, not diet friendly. But I had such a craving. That's the kind of food I grew up on, so it's definitely comfort food. I'm big on comfort right now.

It's the gravy and mashed potatoes that make it worth all the trouble though!!

I totally agree with you about roast being "comfort food"......that's why I was thinking I'd go over to DM's and cook there. It's one of those meals we had as a family as I was growing up and I miss it every once in awhile......also homemade chicken and noodles (my mom can make a mean homemade noodle, but talk about a big mess!!)

Awesome seeing that green again so soon! :D Healing vines to Harvey - sorry he's needed the bupe. :bighug:
