Prayers to all in need...:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Still deciding about bringing Rico into vet--I sent him a picture of his lip he said how about a steroid shot and convenia:eek::eek:
Rico does fine with convenia but we do not need another steroid induced diabetic :cat:
Hoping it will heal--I am putting ointment and warm compresses on it and he is eating some.
Dre is happy and bright:cat:
Hopefully my worker is on his game today.... I will have to come home at PMPS to T/F/S

Look at Doodles go!!!!:D

I'd want the vet to look st Rico's lip but would not give a steroid shot if there is an alternative. I did have a cat that needed Pres for feline acne on her chin. She got tge pills and never became diabetic. Tiffany (Max's partner in crime) took it for lymphoma and her BG was fine too. So a one shot or a 7-10 day course if needed might not be so bad. :bighug:

Looks like Dre is thinking about liking this dose. Fingers and paws crossed.

I haven't ruled it out but hoping it will heal on its own..... it looks a wee bit better and smaller today. If isn't gone or much smaller in a few days we will take him in. Thank you for the input :bighug:
Yes Dre likes to give the the low number right before I have to leave:rolleyes:

Looking great Dre, glad to see you back to business and so is your mama bean! Sending healing vines for Rico....I know he's in the best hands and you'll find something to help him. Thanks for your Doodle excitement...it is amazing.

Do you feed them in plastic bowls by any chance?
Hi Bobbi!
No we don't use plastic
They mainly eat on paper plates because we ditch about 10 flavors before they eat one. Or my regular ceramic that I eat on.
Wondering now tho about the water fountain. Rico rarely drinks from it but it is plastic.
Dre loves it but he drinks from the fountain not the plastic part.
The sore was smaller today and looked like it wanted to heal. Fingers crossed !!:bighug:

Another nice slide into the lagoon! ...and sending healing vines for Rico - I hope it clears up on its own. I am also really leery of any sort of steroids now. Mandarin was only two years old when he got a shot of Depo that triggered his diabetes.

Jayla,

So glad to read Dre is coming down nicely....looking forward to seeing how he does. One cat at a time to stress over! Praying that Rico's lip gets healed. I switched to stainless steel bowls after the scare I had with Peekaboos lip...I was using plastic Gladware and I think that may have caused infection. He was the messiest cat and no matter how meticulous I was about keeping clean bowls, he'd always leave food behind after drinking. You should see how much cleaning I am doing to my walls and doors!:eek:

Yo Dre, Nice to see you in the lagoon today!

Hi Jayla, I hope Rico's sore will heal on it's own. I like to wait for things to heal on their own, too. Sending some beautiful healing vines to Rico!

so Dre is acting totally normal not even looking for food--looking out the patio drinking a little water... I think ok--maybe I should get a test--woaaaaaaa
really Dre!! 35 on AT???
SQUEEZED the juice from gravy lovers--test again in another 10 minutes.....:eek:

I've only shot through a bounce once. I've even been chicken or what happens most of the time is the bounce hasn't yet started by the next cycle. I don't think there's a set rule. See what Wendy says.

The guideline using human meters is 3 drops below 50 or one drop below 40 means an immediate reduction. I'd think below 40 on the AT definitely means take that reduction now. But you can always edit you subject line to ask for dose advice and get more opinions.

Hey Dre buddy, no more silly drops like that 'k?
