Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night, but spent most of it sleeping and only ate about 2/3ds of his nighttime food. This morning we had a good schmooze and I am working on getting him to finish his breakfast.

Paperwork beckons. And this afternoon I want to get in that walk! Feeling pretty good from my lingering injuries today.

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

That's good that you are feeling better and hopefully the injury will soon be a distant memory. Appy vines for a Rusty.

OK, Rusty. Back to bidness. And back to eating that breakfast...and all your other foodies.

So glad you're feeling better, Ella. Walkabouts are good. Enjoy yours.

Walking sounds like a good idea. Stiffness tends to set in more easily after an injury if you aren't able to keep moving. I'm glad you're getting better and better.

Rusty, looks like you have the blue floor covered today. Cinco appreciates the company.

Rusty didn't like his Merrick's chicken paté much today. When I checked the can I saw that it is a different lot from the one he has liked so much. I just got a case delivered yesterday from Wag.com, so I must go and check the bottom of those cans! Frustrating. He did eat his Wellness today, so it's good to see that he still will eat it.

It was a beautiful afternoon for a walk and we walked around Mirror Lake in Lake Placid Village, stopping at Eastern Mt. Sports to check out the winter-clearance sale (bought a new hydration bladder for my backpack; now that winter is on the way out, I can use a bladder again--they freeze-up in the winter so we have to start out on a snowshoe or ski carrying hot water in our water bottles. By the end of the hike the water that remains is usually ice cold!).

The LagoonMeister is in the lagoon:D.

Back after dinner to check condos.

Sounds like you got a nice walk in! I'm glad you're feeling better from your injuries. Being able to walk about more should help you continue to heal.

I had a run this winter where the warm water bottle I grabbed from my coach was a frozen slushie within 30 minutes. I couldn't bring myself to drink any when it was already snowing!

I'm glad you're feeling better!! I hear you on the different batches of food... Billie went crazy for one lot of Wild Calling, then never ate it again. Such refined palates on these kitties.

So Rusty is still not eating enthusiastically, but I discovered that the new case of Merrick's is dated the same as the cans he likes, so fingers crossed. He'll be eating soon (he waits for us to sit on the couch with him and watch TV; kind of cuts into one's evening!)

@Deanna & Billie : The same thing happened to us with Wild Calling. The original cans, when they first began manufacture, were a big hit here. Then they changed the formula (I think; although they deny it) and Rusty won't eat it any more. I have about 6 cans of the changed formula and every once in a while I try one, to no avail. The original cans were steel and had the date and lot on the bottom of the can printed as a semi-circle. The new cans are aluminum and have the date and lot horizontal.

Nice cycle for Rusty- I hope he is feeling better and more importantly, I hope he's eating his dinner. Glad you are feeling better Ella.

Hi Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: well yes it is evening, but maybe some :coffee: anyways...

Yahoo! Rusty made green today, Well done!

So funny, well not, how a different lot can make all the difference with the kitty fuds... I am glad that the new ones you have are the right lot numbers. Paws crossed he wills till eat it.

YAY! You made your walk. I am so glad you are feeling better, the injuries are on the mend. My shoulder getting better too, most range of motion is back without pain. Great to feel decent again, isn't it?

Enjoy what is left of your evening!

Not a great day for Rusty. He was "under the weather"--sleeping--all day. Generally poor appetite. We got him to eat, but he never cleaned his dish. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm going to give him FF T&G again (the last few cans were not a hit, but I see that there is a new lot now, so we'll see; it was always his go-to food the last time he had pancreatitis, but that flare wasn't as bad as the present one.)

Wishing all a good night,

Ella & Rusty

Good to see the LagoonMeister this morning. Sorry to hear he's being a fussy pussy about his fuds and seems off. Paws crossed the FF T&G perks him up again tomorrow.

The walk sounds nice. Definitely time for warmer weather sports gear. Fleece pants and top have been packed away here.
