Good afternoon,

Rocky's BG saw a lot of blue numbers in the very early morning hours again. This is making me quiet sleepy during the day as I am afraid to go to bed at night for fear that his BG will do a deep dive with this much insulin. Especially when his BG went to 100 at 3am. @-)
I mean, when we started with the insulin Rocky was doing those deep dives into green fields on way less insulin. I pray that he is healing and not getting worse.
I don't want to go to bed and set my alarm clock for every hour in those late night hours because my husband gets up at 4am to get ready for work. I don't want to keep waking up DH at every hour because my alarm clock keeps going off. So, that means that I either sit in my office chair and fall half asleep there, or, I'm half-awake and half-asleep in front of the TV, with one eye constantly on the clock.
Julie, *maybe* Rocky would have touched a green number at 4am last night if I had not fed him 1/8 can of a 2% carb food at 3am when his BG went to 100??
Just eyeballing it, 1/8 can looks to be about only (1)TSP of food. Do you think those higher numbers were food induced? :? That was also after I had fed him the 2% carb food for his PMPS +3 feeding. In other words, his BG continued to drop even after I had fed him a 1/4 can of 2% carb food three hours earlier.
Rocky usually gets zero carb food at his PMPS +3 feeding but I only had one can of this food remaining and I wanted to feed that to him in the morning when I thought his BG was likely to shoot up to the 300s again. :YMSIGH:
This morning I fed Rocky 1/4 can of his zero carb food at AMPS and at AMPS +1 I fed him 1/8 can of the 2% food. For the AMPS +2 and +3 I fed him the zero carb food again.
Rocky recap for yesterday:
AMPS 284 +2 340 +6 291 +8 292
PMPS 277 +2 199 +4 111 +6 100 +7 140
