Yesterday, surprise quick dive into the lagoon.
4/1 Recap:

Neko is having one of her "hard to eat" days. She's got appy and interest, but having a very hard time getting down her raw venison. It's reasonably well ground and I add water to make it soupy, but for some reason it wasn't working so well today. Lots of mouth grinding noises accompanied her efforts. I was watching, she was only taking very small bites at once. She did manage to eventually get through all but a small bite of first breakfast, but for subsequent meals I had to break out the canned food. It seems to be the red meats (also kangaroo and elk) causing the most problems, so I may stick to raw chicken (home made and Nature's Variety) for the moment. Civie Theo was thrilled there were left overs to steal.
I need to get a better look inside her mouth and will ask the acupuncture vetty to do the same next week. I'm worried about soft tissue growth.
Blasted acro.
The dental vetty has said he could trim down soft tissue growth, but with her CKD and heart block incident at the last SRT, I'm reluctant to consider anesthesia. I'm feeling a bit like I'm between a rock and a hard place. For now, the softer food.
Neko's seems a bit quieter today, she's barely been out into the solarium, even though it's very warm and toasty right now. We have had some good snuggles and purrs.
Happy Caturday all. I'm in a bit of a funk. Besides Neko being off, the cold is overstaying it's welcome. In addition to missing the years first warm day long row down the scenic direction of the inlet this morning, I had to give up a quilt retreat. Argh! Thinking of Suki and Crystal today.
