2 cycles in a row that are decent?!?!??!

It got a little dramatic last night and I was expecting a spectacular bounce but this is nice :) I hope I'm not jinxing it by talking about it!

Ming seems to be back to his normal self. I'm going to continue giving him ondansetron and bupe until I run out (2 ml vial of ondansetron and my bottle of bupe is almost done - got a new one already). But back to every 12 hours for bupe.

PMPS = 358
+4 = 182

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh nice.

Just wondering: do you think the meds are helping to keep his BSL nice? Or are we seeing the Levemir work its magic?

One thing I'm really happy about Levemir is that I am not afraid to shoot green numbers. I still check afterwards but I'm not overly worried since I know Ming will go up.

Yay! I hope he's getting used to the nice numbers too.

I guess I'll open another ampoule of ondansetron tomorrow just to keep this up. :) And if it looks like he does really well on pain meds and anti-nausea regularly, then I can think about ordering a larger bottle of ondansetron. I really dislike the ampoules. The non-preservative makes me think the longer I keep it after I open it, the less effective it will be. My vet is talking to the pharmacist to ask how long an ampoule can last in a sterile vial.

+5 = 83

Oh Ming :rolleyes: I fed him half a can of FF. I debated giving him a drop of honey and decided not to and then see where he is after an hour.

+6.5 = 50
Gave 1/4 can of FF with honey (1 tsp).
+7 = 61

This is the second time he’s gone under 50 with this dose. If he gets a reduction, I’ll probably try 5.75 units and not 5.5.
