Wow, and can we say yellow? What a flat yellow cycle yesterday. Mannie, you know what they say about flat yellow cycles... that it means things will be happening. Well, ok.... so what is up with that pink 310 this morning?? You want more juice instead? Does your bean need to fatten up that dose a little? Give us a sign.... :-D

All is well in MannieLand. Mannie survived day 1 of having my DGS stay with us while his DM worked. Little Nicholas got the sniffs, the once over, and that was that. He wasn't too sure about that time frame where the baby decided crying was the thing to do: that got Mannie's attention, curiosity going, cautious approaches: "what is THAT NOISE?" :shock: Once he decided it wasn't a threat he was off to the nanners for some serious snoozing. :lol: I made another attempt at a Fuds Dance video this morning - oh sure.... and no way says the cat.... Bean 0, Mannie 5. :roll: All else is well in MannieLand: breffis consumed with gusto, minus the fuds dance. Clean plate club! Semi success at the auto feeder: we shall win that war too. :-D Nanners corralled, nanner bed organized - we are now with 2 for the pillow, 4 for the mattress. :lol: :lol: :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand.

Hi Michelle, Wow, you got through the first day of simultaneous grandma-ing and FD-ing!! I'm glad it went so well and that Mannie has accepted Nicholas. When one of my grand nieces was a baby her parents came to cat-sit our cat Alice at our camp so that we could go on a canoe camping trip. Alice, who must have been a mother at some point in her life, just sat next to that baby and watched over her the entire time. My nephew said it was quite touching. I hope that Mannie will develop a loving relationship with Nicholas as the days and weeks go by. It sounds like he's off to a good start.
Have a good day today, and I hope the rain stops so you can get in a walk.

:lol: :lol: :lol: Bean 0, Mannie 5! Aww, I guess Mannie's not the type to mug for the camera like Chaos does. Oh well, you'll get him sooner or later. I had the same problem with Chaos for about a week and then he got used to the camera and started acting normal again.

The flat yellows.... hope you're ready for some action. I'm glad Mannie doesn't have a problem with DGS, who sounds like wonderful company when it's not time to cry :lol:

Hey. with all the videos we know you will be taking of the baby, Mannie should get used to seeing the camera! Maybe he'll get jealous of the attention and start cooperating.

Michelle: wow...I missed the first babysitting day. Glad to hear it went well and Mannie is nonplussed by it all. How odd that he has done so incredible on this dose....really putting together some nice b2b cycles and now this....maybe like you said the other day, he just needs a little rest and then back to work he'll go. Or maybe he didn't make an OVERT statement about the baby yesterday but a slyer one....OH YEAH...BRING THAT BABY HERE AND I'LL DO SOMETHING TO MAKE YOU UNHAPPY! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Mannie...BOTH my beans are home today and it's sunny and warm and beautiful. My mamabean said all my LL friends can come over for some chillaxin by the pool since we all worked so hard last night on cooking that great meal for GracieD. So come on over....I bet we can find some chilled, poached roadrunner wraps in the frig and looks you, Tess, and me can all use a round of niptecates..put the word out...POOL PARTY IN AZ!!

Mannie doesn't sound too upset with your grandbaby in the house. Whenever there are ltitle children at my house, both of my cats hide under the bed until they are gone. You would think very small people would not scare them that much.

Good luck with the video. I would love to see Mannie do his happy feet dance. I need to make a video of Simon because he has a funny routine. I'll hold the bowl up over his head and he will stand up on his hind feet and when I say, "Touch", he touches the bowl with his left paw (he is a leftie like me!). Then he gets his food. I don't know how we got started on this little food routine, but it is funny to watch.

OK - Way too funny on the photos! I've caught Mannie studying them twice. LOL! He was muttering something about "must establish control...."

Hi Ella - When my kids where very tiny I had two cats that would do that too - they'd sit right by where the babies were and just watch. Whenever any of the kids did anything, or rolled, or whatever I'd hear all these Meows - their way of saying "Hey - heads up!" I hope Mannie is the same - guess we shall see. so far having to do the baby thing and the FD thing was OK. heaven help me if Mannie has one of those dive days - that ought to be interesting... :roll: -- and got my walk in! A whole 5.5 miles!!! YAY! the rain stopped enough, we even had a few sunbreaks... lucky -as now the clouds are becoming very ugly.... :roll:

Hi Violet - and yeah on the camera.... I hope he will cooperate, maybe like you said he'll get used to it and then I can tape it. looks like maybe Mannie will get down to business today.... :-D

Hi Marje - funny photo, yes! Yep on the dose. Like i said with Ann - 3/31 went to a very low blue - 106, just didn't make green. so.... will see how this goes today. Maybe he needs a little nudge? and :lol: could be about the statement thing - one never knows with these kitties! He seemed to think the baby was OK - crying was a new sound for him - he really wasn't sure what it was. :lol: :lol:

Gracie - that is so cool! and roadrunner wraps????? omg - to die for!!!! ooooooooooooooo - niptecates too! I AM SO THERE! and yeah - we did work hard n the party - it sure was fun! No, he doesn't seem to mind. None of the cats did. we shall see if that stays that when when this little guy becomes mobile. :lol: :lol:

I love Simon's routine - you should try and make a video - I'd like to see..i keep on trying with Mannie. :cool:

Mannie is looking good today! Glad that Day 1 of DGS duty went well! Saw your post in Ella & Rusty's condo about the avalanches... that is insane!! I hope you guys get to thaw out soon and that spring is around the corner! It's crazy here. Some of the smaller trees have green now, but most are bare... except for these giant pink blossoming trees (they look like cherry blossoms) that just appear randomly in full bloom. I love spring!! Hope you guys are having a wonderful day!

HI Kristie - oh yes on the mtn passes here and the avalanches - that one that had the four was really crazy - very unstable up there right now, which is unfortunate as it is one of the two major routes I use to get to my hiking locations. And it is snowing there again today. shesshhhhh! It's not like these guys are too high up either - both are in the 3500 feet range. OH well.... so we wait a little longer.

Our plum and cherry flowering trees have just started too - so pretty! Yep - I like spring too. I hope to get over to the eastern part of the state - they have such wonderful places that are full of flowering plants right now. if (!!) I can get over the passes!

Willie - YAY!!!, You got the memo! Pool party at Gracie's! ooooooooooooooo I so hope that cabana bean is cooking! ~~ Mannie

Here I am late again and glad to see Mannie coming down. I was wondering how Mannie and DGS got along yesterday. It sounds like Mannie went about his nanners as usual.

I believe, when you start getting video of DGS, Mannie will be dancing around for attention, and get in them. You just need to stick Nicholas next to Mannie's breffis dish. :lol:

Nah...we didn't go to the movie. I was actually tired; we got to bed late last night and I got up early and let Mike sleep in. Didn't do my btb so I took about an hour's nap and then we started trying to catch up on shows on the TIVO. X Files huh?? Cool show!!

Hope you had a good time today, Mannie!! It sure was fun...now I'm pooped and ready to curl up with my bean!!

Nice day for Mannie. Hope you had a nice day too. Spring is finally arriving in the NW. Yeah. We had 2 days of rain (7 inches) 95 MPH winds and 3 tornados. Today and yesterday were delightful. Temp in the 80s. Sure beats 90+. That will happen soon enough. Hope Mannie surfs where he is for the night. No diving demonstrations needed most beans are going to go ni ni.

Hey Barbara - finally!, some green. :-D and thanks - day was good. made the hike trails here - which was nice. sunny weather to start, rain and hail to come home with - normal for here, huh. bet you don't miss our rainy springs.... :lol: OMG!: 3 tornadoes??? and 95mph?? - i guess i need to listen to the news - I had not heard that. and so agree on Mannie. 89 is good - i'll take that and hope I can get him to stay there. no need for the lower stuff. :cool:

way to go mannie! what nice numbers today! sorry i'm so late getting around, i've been quilting all day again.

looking over at punkin, i see he's paying homage to Mannie. he has a nanner by his chin. he seems to just like to keep them kinda close by. he did use one for a pillow this afternoon - snoozing in the sun with a nanner. life is sweet.
