Surgeon came in... I will update later but not good news.

Operation was not a success. Will discuss plan B with lead surgeon in a few minutes.

[profanity here.... Plus fighting off the tears...]

Carolyn,

I'm sorry that you've run into complications. I've been following your updates closely since this is the same type of surgery Belle had, and I know how difficult it can be waiting to know if things are falling into place. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

I've been checking in when possible to see how BigMac has been doing. I'm keeping both of you in my prayers. Stay strong, BigMac....and you, too, CD. I'm thinking of you.

Oh, Carolyn, I can't put into words how much my heart is hurting for you. I am sending the biggest snowflakes, the largest blanket of snow, the brightest of lights and the loudest of prayers for you and BigMac. Hugs to you my friend.....I wish I could be there to hold your hand and give you this hug in person.

Ok. I'm hanging on by a thread or two. Thank you so much for the strength to go on.

BigMac is here with me resting in my arms and has been purring strongly for at least half an hour.
The surgeons are getting ready to take him back for another surgery where they will bypass the bile duct completely and seal it off. His gallbladder will be "kissed" to a part of his intestine.

They are trying to save his life. He is a strong kitty and I wouldn't do this lightly. But he has no chance otherwise. Bile is continuing to back up into the liver and bringing bacteria with it. The rerouting failed but they don't know why exactly. I was warned that this could happen when they finished the original surgery.

The surgeon said a prayer over BigMac and I thought I'd lose it... But the purring saved me.

I love this little guy....

once again, my thought is that the surgeons wouldn't put him (and you) through this if they didn't think he stood a really good chance. fingers crossed you get some good news soon, that the surgery is short and successful and you have your purry buddy back again soon. hang in there, with this much support in the air for you and BigMac you are in very good hands.{{{hugs}}}}}

If the surgeon said a prayer over BigMac then the Lord will be with him...Watch over your kitty Lord and bring him safely back to his momma. Be strong. Sending healing vines and prayers.

Don't post at all often here these days - but will be thinking of Big Mac and sending positive thoughts to you... good luck - I sure hope for a better outcome...

Did they take him into surgery yet. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, its a long story, but I don't want you to not do what I did OK? Please tell them you must see him before he goes into surgery and then you talk to your baby, and tell him how much you love him and make sure they let you see him as much as possible no matter what, even after surgery as soon as he wakes up. And I don't want to make you feel like he won't do well in surgery, but if it doesn't go as planned, tell them you want to see him even if he is under anesthesia and then talk to him some more and kiss him and say what you need to.

I can explain some other time, but you may understand what I'm telling you.
Sending tons and tons and tons of prayers and asking my mom in heaven to help out.

((((((((Carolyn)))))))) when Lucy was so, so sick and she started purring to me (and then wouldn't stop purring), I knew she was telling me she wanted to fight.

I know BigMac is wanting the best possible outcome and so are you, but regardless, you can be confident that you are doing what he wants you to do.
