what happened????? ugh!! that's all i got to say this morning. ugh!! :)

we're nearing the bottom of our first pen. it is still clear as a bell but perhaps i gotta think about swapping it out. when you guys start having a problem at the end of the pen/cartridge/whatever, about how much would you say you have left? i'd say there's somewhere between 40-50 units left if i'm reading the thing right

Sorry to see Mousie in the yellows today, Cindy. I hope things look better as the day goes on.

I use Lev, and I have used the same pen for several months. Lantus is a little different...they say to trash around 30 days, I believe.
 
slightly better tonight. and i double checked my pen and yeah, i have about 40 units left in it so perhaps it's pooping out

butttttttttttttttttt, as i walked up to her on the testing couch i noticed her left eye is a bit watery (you know the river down the side of the nose watery?) and just as i reached for her she did that little snnnppffff as she shook her head. my first thought was ah oh! she's getting a cold (thus the higher numbers) but after test/shot she went to the kitchen where she watched me go about my business and i noticed she's favoring that eye, squinting it shut some, etc..... so perhaps Fuzzie got a good swipe in on her today????

i looked as good as i could and didn't see any signs of scratching.....liquid excretion is clear as can be, no blood noted, no discoloration in the eye at all, no swelling

if she's real attentive to something, her eye is wide open and reactive. only when she relaxes some is she doing a little squinting with it.

i figure i'll watch her tonight and tomorrow, go ahead and start adding some lysine to her food just in case and try to get a better feel as to whether Fuzzie walloped her or she's indeed getting sick. if it continues too far into tomorrow i'll take her to the vet wednesday i guess.
