Good morning everyone. Moe has officially rejoined the pack. He spent the night without his cone and had the run of the house. I haven’t seen him scratching or rubbing his face, other than normal post-meal grooming, so it looks like the stitches aren’t bothering him yet. I suppose that could change as healing continues and they get itchy.

His appetite is excellent but BG is creeping up again. I was really hoping the dental would correct his high numbers, but we are back where we were a couple of weeks ago.

Great news the cone can come (and I hope stay) off. :) Is he still eating just the soft food?

There will be some inflammation associated with the extractions. I also noticed dental (with extraction or other work), raised Neko's numbers for about 10 days, before the inflammation reduced and numbers came down.

I’m alternating the mousse with regular pate. He is struggling a little with the pate, turning his head sideways and obviously chewing, if that makes any sense. But he’s not avoiding any foods right now.

I’m glad to hear your experience and timeline with the dental. I guess I expected an immediate reduction. He’s still got another week of clavamox to get through as well.
