Day 1 AMBG was 96, yesterday was 117 -- and today, we are very happy to have AMBG of 102. Why, that's NEARLY green! :mrgreen: And he had eaten at 1.25 hours before the test.

WCR is good. We're mixing the last of the FF old-label with 9 Lives Chicken Dinner, and he is, thank heavens, eating.

WBR: Enjoying Beechnut Fruit Slice gum today. ("Yikes, stripes!")

That +4 is AMBG +4. He seems to be snacking a lot more often than before, so it's hard to get a test free of food.

He is also pacing a little. Could be that the sun is not out, and he is miffed. Or maybe he feels better???

Anway... I'll happily take a 97. :mrgreen:

Seems that the 4 hours in between eating and testing works for Kitty too...
I like the way the numbers went down....Happy Day 3!!!

Yay Kitty, good kitty giving your mama green! Kathy, do you think the trial is more nerve-wracking then being on insulin? just wondering? Seems to me it would be more stressful! Great day for Kitty!!! Yay for day 3!!!!

Michelle, this is definitely more stressful than managing Kitty's diabetes has been in recent months. The first months were the worst -- he was so sick -- but I know my blood pressure goes WAY up in those seconds between the test and the read-out on the monitor!!! But only because I have become "attached" to an outcome. Kitty is experiencing no additional stress whatsoever! :lol:

ITA! When you are attached to an outcome things are much more stressful. The first few days of the trial are scary, but if they continue to do the same stuff you're gonna be okay. When Boomer first started giving me higher blues because of puking I thought I'd lose it!

ETA- wait until you're asked for photos for the VIDEO! Scary! nailbite_smile nailbite_smile

I tested early, since Kitty woke up from nap #8 wanting to eat. I figured it was better to get him about 3 1/2 hours from food, though before he pre-trial test time, than to feed and then test.

For future reference... is that right? Is it more important to test free of food, or to test at the usual time?

And as long as I'm asking questions... how is he doing so far? 98 isn't all that low -- but it is green, and he has had a nice flat day. So this is looking decent so far, yes?
