Jerry condo Jerry has been doing well on the .5 dose but was wondering if a reduction is in the near future.
Some of the low numbers I have been giving him 9% carb food and for him this takes his numbers up some. So maybe it would be best to lower his insulin and see how he holds his numbers. On a sad note he lost his best friend Nikko of fourteen years. Nikko had been suffering with CKD for almost a year and was doing well until just two weeks ago. Jerry and I miss him terribly.

If you are having to feed a higher carb food than normal to keep him up, you may want to try just feeding LC and see if he earns the reduction. Make sure you can monitor when you do this.

Jerry is looking really, really good. I suspect there might be a few low numbers hiding in the empty cells on your spreadsheet, so if he really wants a reduction, I think he'll let you know, despite the 9%. Even if he doesn't drop below 40, if he gives you a week of all normal numbers (50-80 with a few random up to 120), you can consider that a reduction has been earned, too.

As Carla said, if you decided to try forgoing the 9% for a lower carb food, be sure to monitor closely.

Thank you both! I usually try not to give the 9% unless I am going to be gone and he shows me a lower number. There probably is some lower numbers somewhere I am not getting. Since he is doing well I have laid off some of the testing but maybe I should get back to testing a little more just to see what is going on.
