I just got a message from my critter sitter caring for Howie that she did a FS and didn't know what to do so have him another dose as I was out of cell phone range. She believes she poked him all the way through as he had a ton of insulin on his fur (25 units). Im SLIGHTLY freaking out as she won't be back to check on him until his breakfast. His PMPS was 123. Please help me not think the worst. Had I been able to talk to her, I certainly would have told her to not give a 2nd dose.

Um how to politely say this...

She needs to go back. Stay there all night if necessary. She made a mistake, whether she was aware of it or not, and needs to ensure the safety of her client's pets.

His numbers have been far too low at this dose to mess around with a double shot, regardless of how much may or may not have gone in

I second what melissa says! She is being way polite too...I'd come unglued!! I realize she didnt realize she shouldnt do that but in that situation she should have stalled and waited for a response

She is going to test him now which is about +2. I have a friend who will test him around +3.5. Then the critter sitter will go back at +10 (nadir is normally +10-12) and then his breakfast. I don't know what else to do for overnight as she works full-time and is a single Mom with a young son at home (and can't bring Howie to her house). She is a great critter sitter with Howie and im not upset. I know he didn't get anything close to a double dose. At most hopefully he only got 4-5 units. Thats at least what I'm telling myself as I can't do much else from where I'm at for work.

I would have her leave HC out with some syrup mixed in then just to be absolutely safe

Will do! Thanks for all the help! She currently trying to test him and he's not cooperating.

Update: His +3 test came in at 177. The critter sitter tried for 25 minutes to test him at +2 and he would not cooperate but did leave him some HC food mixed in his overnight mini meals. So we have a good baseline for when the Levemir will kick in between +4 and +5. I have good people surrounding me who love Howie (including members on here!!) and will help out more than I could have imagined. He and I are both blessed.
