Good morning Lantus Land! It is another bright lovely, sunny morning in Arizona. Sending those healing rays to all who need them today.
Gracie is a happy little love bug this morning despite this number; she appears to be around where she was last night so I don't know if she surfed it or went up and came back down. She's been very engrossed in keeping track of the "bad mens" and does not seem stressed by them. In fact, I wonder if she will miss them when they are gone? Gracie got an adjustment yesterday by the vet chiropracter that comes every week for Gus. She seemed to really enjoy it and she was a little rotated in the lumbar region of her spine...all is good now.
Today my patience pants are PINK and we have three bounce cycles down, three to go. Gracie typically clears her bounces pretty durn fast and, at the longest time, in four cycles, but I promise to hang in there. I'd like to know if I get a special award when I get through this waiting?   (Patience is not my strong suit...would you have guessed?) I am trying to remember that good things come to those who wait as we have recently witnessed with the fabulous "KK" aka Tess.
Gracie sent her daddybean out to get fresh tortillas for the fresh fish that Rusty is bringing today. I think they plan on firing up the grill for fish tacos and I made mango salsa with cilantro for their tacos. I think Mike has several other little hors d'oeurves and desserts up his sleeve but I won't spill the beans. Under the guarding, the catnip patch has flourished and so when the deck is done, we may need to have one last party and distribute that catnip around for everyone who has worked so hard to protect it.
OT Quick report on our civvies: Miss Teddi Bear (almost 16) was just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism so I have her on a low dose of methimazole. Because her kidneys are borderline and her age, she is not a candidate for I131. We hope to get her stable and have her put on a little weight. Gus (15) just had recent bloodwork and his creatinine has risen again from 3.8 to 4.2. BUN is fairly stable at 71. His phosphorus came down (WHOOP!!) and his potassium, calcium, HCT, HGB, and RBCs are holding nice and steady in normal ranges. We did up his squids to 125 mls sid. His appetite is great so we are focusing on his QOL and keeping him comfy.
Off to TBP. Have an awesome day. And Gracie...time to let mama take off these hideous pink pants. Love you baby girl.
