Afternoon all,

Continued prayers and vines for Paula's swift recovery, it's wonderful to see Michael doing so wonderfully.

Day 6 Bookends

Well ambg 77/84:D:D:D lowest so far
I got a reading of 77, couldn't believe my eyes, and wondered if it was wrong, because the window seemed to fill kinda slow and the blood hadn't beaded, I decided to double check and got 84, still good but now wish I hadn't double checked LOL:rolleyes:

I tried something different last night, gave BFG a bigger +9 snack, reading @Judy and Boomer post where she found that giving Boomer a meal at +9 rather than a small snack ended up in his amps coming down got me thinking so I thought I would give it a try last night. Looks like BFG was holding out for more food too. Will try the same approach this afternoon and see if we can't bring pmps down too, as that has been no lower than 92 (infact 92 has been the lowest BG am or pm that we have got).

Happy to see that it worked for George! By the way, doing the same thing during the day and giving Boomer the meal instead of a snack at +9 made no difference whatsoever to his PMBG. Funny how they can react differently during the day than they do at night.

So glad the meal trick worked! It's seems so counter intuitive but if it works it works! Did you give a snack at PMPS instead?

I kept everything the same and just upped the meal at +9, he lost 250g/8 ounces in a month so we have some room for extra fuds, he's about 500g/one pound of his ideal weight.

Well, glad you didn't disappoint BFG. I always wonder if my snacks are enough at .75 of an ounce.

Georges mini meals ie his +3 and +6 are approx 40g (3teaspoons) 1.4ounces his +9 snack was about 1 small teaspoon less than 1/2 ounce, I've upped that now to about 1 ounce 2tsp.
amps and pmps meals are 75g/ 2.6 ounces

When he was on insulin I was sometimes doing 1 ounce meals three times during his cycle


I guess one kitties snack is another meal, will depend on the cat I guess, size activity level etc.
