Yesterday...

I skipped my first dose on the night of 4/17 to monitor. I took it an hour late last night so I could get a +5, but wasn't able to wake up to my alarm to get a +8, so I missed his nadir and my 2nd dose. If lowering his dose doesn't help with this madness, I don't know what I'm going to do. The more sleep I lose, the harder it is to wake up to alarms, which makes it hard to keep him safe at night. Tonight's cycle is the 3rd on 9.5 units.

The Lantus pens arrived this morning. Is there any way to detach the cartridge from the plastic?

Thanks to @saltycat instructions, I cut the plastic off of Levemir pens to get to the glass part which usually has 10-15u left that would be wasted. I use a utility knife to cut the plastic off on each side to get to vial and then use a syringe to slowly push air into the vial to push the plunger up and then carefully use the syringe to draw the remaining 10-15u left in the vial.
