Good morning! Well yesterdays my mom tested by herself on her first try while I was at work. Hopefully she can get some mid day testing in for me now. Also. we started giving Chi Chi the cosaquin again last week, and have seen rising numbers lately, We missed a couple times here and there, and wondering if that may be causing higher #s. We will hold off for now and see what happens. She has an arthritic elbow and limps, and it seemed to help but stopped using when first dx with FD. It's great that your Mom can help with testing now - it's a relief when you're able to have someone check on things when you can't! I hope the cosequin helps with Chi Chi's arthritis. Have a great day, Laura!

I just came home and tested and got a 497! :shock: did a RT right away and was 291. I had to poke twice and the first time got error and then put another strip and and used the same spot as there was still some blood there, but had to squeeze a little. That's when I got the 497. It upset me and asked my mom if she had got a test in today and she said no, that she had difficulty because the meter said F-2. I explained that she has to wait for the code to clear and then put the strip on the blood. She didn't realize that, but its ok, and she tried at least. Maybe she was just stressed or maybe the blood from the first poke wasn't fresh enough? I don't know...but I was glad to see the 291 anyway.I will see what she is pmps. Also no more food after +5 during morning cycle. She will get 1 can ff at 7:30am and then again at 12:30 and 7:30pm. Im struggling with the feed times/amounts and want to get it right, so any advice is welcome. Thanks

I fed punkin 1 can of fancy feast with each shot and 1/2 can at +3 both am and pm cycles. He weighed around 12-14lbs with that much food.

at least we know Chi Chi didn't go low today! your mom will get the hang of it. it's so great she's willing to try.
